Testing out my homemade wrap

I need to re-measure the center. I marked it with stitching, but either it doesn't stay there or my center mark is off cause I always end up with about a foot and a half of fabric longer on one side and it's barely long enough to tie as it is. Sad

Tested it out on my 3 year old. Not so much a baby anymore, but he's still in diapers, so it counts, right? Wink

BTW, he's about 40 lbs.

I guarantee that there's no way you could have worn him in a stretchy! Lol
I often have the issue of my middle getting off center as a I wrap. I just tie on the side. All good. Recheck. Also if you have blunt ends consider cutting and sewing (or stitch witchery in my case lol) tapers at the ends. There's no one way for tapers - each wrap maker does them differently. Some have long tapers (like a triangle at the end), some have short, some are like the Moby with the rounded ends.

I'm thinking of just getting rings to attach to the shorter end, then I can loop and pull like with the miracle wrap.

Give different carries a try before you do that. At higher weights you have to be careful with rings being used with wraps (there are carries that use loose sling rings, but not like the miracle wrap way).

Haha.. I got out the wrap that I owned previously and I'm having a laugh at myself. It's an "Ultimate Baby Wrap". Lol I've been calling it a miracle wrap. Lol

Anyway. I just didn't get enough fabric. And she's not letting me try anything with it (or the other) right now anyway. Miss independent didn't want to snuggle at all yesterday once the sleepiness of anesthesia wore off completely. SMH. I fear I may be done with wearing.

Eh. Keep it around. She may surprise you in the future! There are many carries that use shorter fabric amounts. I use my shorter wrap more than my long one!

Any progress with BFing? Smile

Glad you're staying positive about BFing. I'm sure her lip being swollen doesn't help one bit!!!

Great job wrapping! She's got a great seat and is at the proper height! WOO HOO!

And the shirt is the story of my life right now. Doesn't help that 95% of my maternity shirts don't cover my belly anymore. Lol It's pretty common to have shirts riding up, though it does get better with practice.
