Default Trip in July - what would you take?

So we are taking a trip to Philly in July - going to the Zoo, Sesame Place, & Camden Aquarium.

What combo would you go with?

    1. the double stroller plus the O&A carrier
    2. a single umbrella stroller and the O&A carrier
    3. just the O&A carrier

I'm thinking #3 is out because my 3 year old is bound to get tired by the end of the day at places like that. what do you all think? The only reason I'm thinking of #1 is because we'll need a bunch of stuff to spend all day at these places, right? between snacks, diapers, waters & a change of clothes, plus bathing suits for Sesame Place.....
I'm also worried if I do #2 that DD will get pissed that DS is riding in the stroller and they will fight about it....hmmmm

I would take the first one, because after all day at those places you might be tired as well and carrying your dd might be the last thing you want to do as well. If nothing else you will havw the extra storage space

Will your husband BW at all? It's pretty normal for us to go on a vacation and not bring a stroller since we both willingly babywear. Even with #2 coming, we're not going to get a double stroller, so option #2 is what we'd bring with us. When at such exciting places will they really both want to be IN the stroller? My son wouldn't sit in a stroller right now at the zoo at all, let another more exciting places. Plus, would a double stroller work at that locations? Just thinking about the size of it and how much you could maneuver it all those places.

I agree with Jackie--I think a double stroller plus the carrier is overkill if you both can BW. I really hate pushing empty strollers around, though.

I can't stand navigating strollers through crowds. Makes me want to punch someone. So I would go option 2 or 3... I think a double stroller would make me lose my mind in a crowded space.

Should probably qualify that my double is a Phil&Teds so it's not so bulky actually. It maneuverable and not double wide so is doable in a crowded space.

And DH won't wear DS, plus I'm weird I guess and only have a Moby and the O&A so we actually can't both BW since it's not comfy to wear DD in the Moby anyway.

    hmmm, still thinking!

Totally off topic but I've always wondered how kids past the baby stage do in a P&Ts. Do older kids mind being back there being so low to the ground and not really having a view?

(I way over think strollers too and have a friend with a stroller blog - http://thestrollergirl.com/)

Olivia actually won't ride in front! LOL. She loves being back there and wouldn't have it any other way. Ethan also wants to ride in the back sometimes. I have to tell him NO because he's close to the weight limit now (goes up to 35lbs). For a stroller, the P&T is really great!

Are you flying or driving? Flying might inhibit your ability to even bring a double stroller. Personally, I'd go with option 1 if you think they'll actually both want to use the stroller. We did option 2 when we went to NJ/NYC over Christmas and it was great but we just had one kid. DH and I can't handle carrying T all day long, even switching back and forth. Our poor backs just aren't up to snuff. Also, it is going to be wicked hot and humid in Philly in July. I wouldn't want to walk around all day with a toddler on my back. You can easily get away with options 2 or 3. Places like Sesame Place often have strollers that you can rent. At least then you're not dragging it every where you go.
