Leigh - PooPoo! Addy is seriously the funniest baby I know.
Jackie- Your BWing knowledge astounds me.
Wendy- I had to google the bubbalugga too. I think I remember seeing a pic of you wearing Ronin in it at the beach?
So, funny story that involves BWing. I took T to the Farmer's Market today as we do most Saturdays only I took her by myself because DH is studying for his comprehensive exams. After we stocked up on eggs, pierogies, and a croissant, we stopped in at the train museum that's right next to the market. Teagan was playing with the little toy trains with two other little kids. I chatted with the two kids' Dads while I tried to keep Teagan from bogarting the trains (she's become a bit of a toy hog lately ). When I tired of watching Teagan throw little wooden trees around, we left but Teagan insisted we stop by the Thomas the Tank Engine on display outside. Since she'd been shocked by this display in the past (like electrical shock, yeah, safe, huh?) I threw her up in the Ergo. One of the Dad's was out there and started chatting with me again and as I was leaving he asked, "So, are you available to go out, like, socially?" Uuuuuh. What? I was totally caught off guard so I just said "No" awkwardly and walked away quickly. Seriously? What about the lady with the toddler on her back screams date material? To make matters even more bizarre, the guy was like 45. Creeper!! Do I seriously look old enough to be datable for a 45 year old? Or was he just that creepy? I mean, he would be a great date ... for my MOM! At least he was a good looking 45 year old. Maybe I should track him down and give him my Mom's number.
Sounds like a great day despite her not wanting to sleep! lol!
I'm getting faster with the double hammock back carry! Wore DS as I cooked dinner tonight. It was the one part of the day he wasn't whining from teeth!
Don't mind the hoodie and PJ pants. The hoodie was b/c he was in a hair pulling mood and this confused him.
Erin, I was typing when you posted your reply earlier so just now seeing it - that is totally weird! Was he looking for a booty partner ya think or just "hey, she can do kids obviously so maybe she wants to be my baby's mama?"
Dog park/playground this morning. Perfect for the dog park, because it keeps her from getting jumped on/knocked over as I have witnessed soooooo many times before (...often because of OUR dog, when he was younger). Although she did not like it one bit--she wanted to get down and dirty
Erin--OMG! Although you never know...DH's crazy older sister (she is 41) who is now divorced with two kids keeps bringing home dudes who are like 60, so...I guess he thought it was worth a shot?
Jackie--love the hoodie; that's a great idea for moody days. Good bite shield, too
In an hour I'm meeting up with a BWing educator to help me out with my wrapping! I'm sooooo excited!!! I hope I get a few useful tips from her to help me out, cause boy could I use it.
No picture from my afternoon with the BWer, but I did come home and practiced the new back carry she taught me! It was comfortable enough for me to make dinner while wearing him.
Funny enough when I left the meeting with her, I went to Walmart to get the two things that I couldn't find at Target and the BX last week and used my elephant Bamberoo. However, I did learn all the things I AM doing right with wrapping which is a longer list than the things I need to work on! I actually don't suck at wrapping as much as I think I do. Either that or today was an amazing wrapping day.
It's easy to look confident in a single picture.
I wore DS in the wrap today at the local nature center. I pre-tied a FCC and popped him in when we got there. It worked out well as DS warmed up to the animals, reptiles, and such they have there. I then took him out and rewrapped in a double hammock for a mile hike we did. After that we let him run around to check out the creatures again now that he was warmed up to the place.
Honestly this was probably the best feeling double hammock I've ever done.
