Honestly it made me feel like an elephant with one of those big box thrones on me, haha...it also hurt my shoulders. I think it might be too big for me--it was hard to get the waist strap tight enough to take anything off my shoulders. DH says it is very comfortable for him, though.
Wore DD today at two stores because she was very crabby and clingy. She spent the whole trip to Costco with her arms around me saying "Hug. Hug." Sooooo sweet...another beautiful BW moment
Wore DD yesterday at the grocery store. Surprisingly, no BWing today, she was so into everything big brother was doing I didn't need to BW to get dinner ready, dishes washed or table cleaned!! but man am I exhausted! It's tough going from wake-up at 6am to bedtime at 7pm without any help at all. I am so grateful I am not a single mom, or a military wife! Then again, maybe I wouldn't have spaced my kids so closely if I was!

What a great BWing moment Leigh!
I wore Aiden today while we loaded up our uhaul for our move. Got this cute picture!
I did a bit of baby wearing over the weekend, we were out of town for a cousins birthday. I wore DS Into the resturant as he had just woken up and also when I went to the buffet to get my meal because he was cranky. I managed to wear him in the RS, get mt plate of food and two drinks (one for each of us) and walk back to the table. My family were quite impressed. I also wore him at a shopping centre when we were on the third stopn looking for something in particular at chemists.
Way to show your family how practical BWing is Wendy!
Just a small amount of babywearing today as we packed up the last of our apartment into a uhaul. I let him run around and "help" us carry stuff out in hopes of wearing him out for a nap. lol. It worked though.
Wore Addy to and from her ear tube surgery today (went perfectly, yay!) and into the store to get diapers on our way home, since she was a bit wobbly from the anesthesia and I wanted to keep her close. (Now she's running around the house like a crazy juggernaut, happy and energetic as usual...maybe even more so....gotta go!)
Glad that went well!
I tried a new back carry this afternoon - ruck tied tibetan. Quick carry and halfway comfortable surprisingly. Makes me wonder if I should keep practicing with rucks and buy a shortie as my 2nd wrap.
Two seconds to pop in before DH steals my computer and replaces my battery something-or-other.
Yes, I have a Kelty frame pack. I was actually just going to mention that I just used it hiking on Sunday! Its the only carrier that works for long hikes (more than an hour). It doesn't kill my back, it doesn't make me sweaty, it has extra space for storage, and it has a shade hood for T. Oh, and she can see up and over my shoulders, which is great on hikes. She can also nap up there pretty easily. We went out to Saguaro National Park (East, for Leigh, 'cuz you'll care about that tid bit) for the first time (despite the fact that its a grand total of 10 minutes from my house) and took a nice 2 hour or so hike to enjoy the beautiful 75 degree weather (eat your hearts out!). We saw a GIANT desert hare that came really really close and acted like he barely noticed us. It was a crazy encounter and DH got a bunch of great pics, which I would share if I had a minute, which I don't.
Hey Stranger! Sounds like an awesome miniadventure. We were in Saguaro National Park West
I definitely foresee babywearing this afternoon. DD was so whiny and clingy this morning after her grandparents left to catch their plane that I thought I was going to lose my mind. I have never been so happy to be in my office...that visit was the kind of vacation you need a vacation from! Fun, yes. Relaxing? Not even remotely. Zzzzzz....
Good luck moving today, Jackie!!!
Oh yes, good luck with moving today!
I threw Beni up on my back in the mei tai again today, because she slept for a grand total of 15!!!!! minutes! My plan was to get her down, and then go into hyper-speed to get the floors mopped while she slept. I got as far as picking up all the little things off the floor and filling my mop bucket before she was awake! That sucked. So I put her up in a high back carry tied above the belly again, and did the job that way. Gotta say, I felt it much more in my lower back- but I think that is because I was working while wearing her like that, not just walking. I paid more attention when I was putting her up though today, and got her sitting up way higher- so the back of the mei tai was covering more of her, and she could see over my shoulder. It was good in that sense.
