Had my ILs standing and staring at me with open mouths last night. It was the first time I had wrapped DS up on my back with my woven since we arrived. Kid was in a mood and being in a carrier shut him up even though all I was doing was standing still in the kitchen chatting. lol

Ha--love it! I hope it was an open-mouthed stare of awe and admiration.

I know it goes by so fast! I still need to write up my birth story!

Welcome Marcia! Congrats on your LO! Adorable BWing pic! I also love the pics in your siggy. I don't read the birth lodges because they give me baby fever and I can't be having any of that right now. Did you have him at a birth center or at home? If that's at home, I'm jealous of your tub!
Thanks! His birth was at a birth center, I wish I had the giant tub too! Yeah it is really hard to follow the lodges when baby fever is in full force! I don't know how I will be able to read them in another year or so when I am sure I will get baby fever, although we are all done having babies. I wanted another girl because we were going to name her Teagan and I am sad I will never be able to use that name now. A name I am pretty sure you LOVE

Yea I am a bit crazy! I am dying to be able to run again, it is about killing me to have to take a little break.

    LOL!

Hey Marcia!!! I can't believe Weston is already 11 days old. Amazing how even when these little people come into the world, the days just keep going by as fast as they ever did. He is so cute in the Moby!!! I just don't think I will ever be able to wear a Moby because of how hot I get in them!

Fragile- is that the nice way call what my DD is going through right now too?
Mobys are great but not in the extreme hot weather! By the time it is Summer here I am all done with the Moby as it just isn't comfortable anymore.

I so understand what you girls mean about this age! My just turned 2 year old daughter has been a LOT to handle lately! She is such a little spit fire! Yesterday I felt really bad because I yelled at her a billion times. She was not listening to anything I said and was doing things she knew were wrong! I am on little sleep so that doesn't help with my patience.

Gave a ruck tied tibetan a try again today. Managed a 2 mile walk with him up there! It was a great way to enjoy the beautiful weather (75?) after DS wore himself out at the park.

On a related note, I think I take more BWing pictures these days than I do of just my son.

I wore DD while shopping today. She was asleep in the car, and I tried so hard to get her on my back still asleep, but, it just wasn't happening. And she is so much less likely to fall asleep when she is on my back compared to on my front. Oh well. She slept later in the car. I tried to tie the mei tai straps in a backpack carry the first time, and it just wasn't comfortable- but, it was the first time I'd ever done it, and I was in a parking lot without any mirror or anything... ended up retying into a regular chest-cross (I do not know all the fancy names for these ties like Jackie does!), and it was good. Except, she discovered pulling my hair and my necklace today while she was up there. Not cool. I had to take my necklace off, and do what I could to make her STOP with the hair pulling.

My SIL and I shopped together today (it was our monthly trip across the border to Thailand- where we can buy in bulk and way cheaper than here), and we both had babies on our backs (she had my nephew in her Ergo on her back). We always get a lot of looks from the locals, but, we got extra today. People use slings here (minus any rings, jut fabric tied like a ring sling), but I don't think they expect to see us carrying our babies.

Sounds like some great, productive babywearing!!!

I have never ever been able to get Aiden on my back without waking him up. Heck, I can't get him down off my back without waking up. lol.

Yeah...I have no idea how you would do a back carry sleeping transfer on OR off! I did get DD out of her bed and into a front carry still sleeping in the Ergo last weekend, but I was definitely not brave enough to try to slide her around to the back. I guess this is one place preggo BW can't go

I haaaaate the days when she discovers my hair/necklace/a mole to pick at (*shudder*) and won't just hang out back there. Like I mentioned, I got a nice neck claw just the other day. DD's been such a handful lately. I think in addition to everything else, she's cutting her two year molars. AWESOME. At least the BW does give her some extra snuggles and security, which she seems to be craving lately.

ETA: I think the mystery of the cranky drama queen has been solved. The culprit's name is two-year molars, and it is a BEAST...

Sounds like my life lately! My 2 1/2 year old is crazy busy, testing boundaries and is still learning about sharing. My 14 month old is NOT STTN, antagonizes her brother and is super clingy! And I'm not patient period!

I have been able to put a sleeping baby in the O&A on my front ONCE and keep a baby sleeping ONCE. Managed that when DS was about 5 months old but not on the same occasion. Never happened again!

Sorry I just realized I repeated myself. It's the molars--they're not letting us get any sleep!

I'm not very patient, period, either--although it seems that whichever parent gets to RAGE first, the other is spurred to find some hidden reserves of patience to take over with. So we trade off in the sanity department. This morning it turned out to be my turn to be patient, and I must say, I was pretty proud of myself. It was quite a morning.
