Ergo--like I said, I am not a fan of the frame pack we have! It was fine when she was smaller, but now that she weighs 30lbs, UGH. I wouldn't be adding any books on to that anyway

We have friends coming in to town to stay with us this weekend...hope they like books

I didn't BW today but my husband did! I apparently messed up my ankle yesterday. Hopefully it'll be doing better tomorrow bc we're out of town and I don't have a stroller on me. Lol

I agree bwing is crucial with more than one kid especially! Today I wore ds in my moby at a birthday party the older kids were all invited to. So I just wore him the entire 2+ hour party and he took his midday nap in there Everyone was impressed how good and quiet he was for a 6 week old--of course he is content, he is next to a warm mama!

I'll most likely wear him again all night in the restaurant. We are leaving our older 3 with a sitter and going on a double date with some friends and taking him with us. So so keep him content, I'll most likely just wear him at dinner.

yep lived dry and humid here and i'll take the humid cold and dry heat anytime! other way around is very uncomfortable! too bad there aren't a lot of places that would offer that combo! lol! hmm lottery and private jet might accomplish it though!
oooh a book fair? i keep missing the library one here, it's a huge three block affair with authors to talk to and reading events and everything! have fun! when in need for something like that i have a $6 granny cart that folds and i just bring that!
jackie is it just me or is aiden a little low on dh's back? hope your ankle is okay, that sucks feel better soon!
holly i LOVED the moby for that, especially the front carry where you can cover them up with it and they just konk out! there were days when she was a couple weeks old that jade spent countless hours in there while i cleaned and shopped and just tried not to pull all my hair out! flip her up and over, feed and back to position and go some more!

today was an all of the above day! she walked to the park, then she rode the stroller to the store (needed carrying space for groceries!) then into the moby to pick up daddy! tried a bunch of the other wraps and either i didn't like them/didn't feel confident in the wrap, or she didn't like them the rucksack ones she complained hurt her legs, no matter what i tried, but we are both liking the reversed moby front wrap thingy so i guess it's something! really wanted to try that double hammock again though tom since it didn't get a lot of 'play/adjust' time as the others and well, would be nice not to have the girls just poking out like that!!!

At this age, it's fine for Aiden to be that low. DH prefers it that way and says it's more comfortable. Aiden is still able to remain butt lower than knees. DH's height is all from his torso anyway, so not like Aiden would ever be up high on him. lol.

Mara, keep trying with wrapping. What I've been doing is picking one carry and working on it all week before deciding if I like it for us or not. This allows me to get the carry more correct too, which usually once I have it properly tightened Aiden is happier and my back/shoulders don't hurt.

Holly, hope wearing at the restaurant worked out well! I did a lot of that a year ago.

Did lots of BWing today. Ankle still isn't better, but I survived.

Double hammock keeping the boy happy at SILs house:

This afternoon at my nephew's soccer game (ruck back carry tied in front):

No pics but I wore DS in the elephant B'roo for the other nephew's game while Aiden napped briefly for 30 minutes. And DH wore him some too today in his Ergo.

Cleaned for our (impending!) friends allllllllllllll day today...DD was mostly good but got pretty squirrely this afternoon so I wore her in the Ergo to fold laundry and vacuum. Worked like a charm

Yes, wearing at restaurants with a NB saved our lives in those days! Hope it went well for you, Holly!

Ugh, want to respond to all of the above but gotta run.

Jackie, what a time to gave a bum ankle! I hope it feels better soon!

We had a GREAT day at the Tucson Festival of Books today. The weather was perfect and Teagan had a blast. The Ergo was perfect for all the up downs and I didn't envy all the folks attempting to push their strollers through the crowds. We got to see R.L. Stein! (author of Goose Bumps) We didn't wait in the incredibly long line to get an autograph but we did sneak by to get a look. We filled a backpack with new books for Teagan. All the excitement kept us a little longer than we'd anticipated and we ran into T's nap time. So, she crashed hard when we got into the car to grab a bite to eat. The Ergo saved the day again! I wore her at the table while we ate (for the first time in a LOOOONG time) and she woke up just in time to steal 1/3 of my lunch.

went to the mall and wore her for 3 hours around yest, she did great and was a lifesaver on a sat lunch rush! i think there's a couple new moms getting bw'ing gear from the grandma's! ppl ask all kinds of questions when i wear her out and it's great to share some info with ppl you know wont look it up since it's not for them! only problem... until yest i've been wearing her inside my jumbo jacket so the neckline of the jacket cradles her head when she falls asleep, wasn't wearing it yest and she kept falling asleep looking at the ceiling tilted to the side, that can't be comfortable! it's not really feasible to tuck her head like with a front carry so any suggestions? tried to put her in the front carry and she hated it. nothing today, taking a break and she's sick so lazy day around the house! hoping to try that double hammock again later tonight when dh is around to help spot (he's great for seeing things that would help!)

jackie - okay that's sounds good, i was wondering if there was any 'rules' about height on the back carry like front carry younger age should be kissing height. i should try and dh to try carrying her lower now that she's back, he wasnt comfortable with her that high on the front carry.

leigh - loved wearing for eating out, housework! glad it went well and you got some work done for friends coming!

tiggersmommy (erin?) - glad the book festival was such a success! bw'ing is really the only way to go some days!

ange84 - lol this was when we stopped/paused the bw'ing jade just wouldn't have it for a long time!!
