So, when do you usually start letting a baby's legs be out of the moby? I have only carried him with legs tucked in so far in the moby.
sooo not an expert by any means so i don't know if this was right or not, but i never actually did frog with jade, got the moby somewhere between 4-7weeks old (time meant nothing then!) and always did legs out. she never seemed to complain, the chiropractor loved it and i just didn't know any better at the time! hoping there are some better answers for you, but that was my experience.

Thought I'd post a pic of Olivia in the O&A from last Friday at the zoo. No BWing today - we were having a blast in the yard this afternoon so never went for a walk and dinner was simple today, pizza.

I know Becky (Beccasweet) said she had issues at first with her newborn being handsfree in a ring sling, but you should still be able to keep practicing and be handsfree. Getting that ring sling proper does take some messing around and practice. Sorry I can't offer personal help and experiences; I didn't have a ring sling with DS was a tiny newborn.
Hopefully some of these videos will be useful for you. I really like the Sakura Bloom videos!

Currently babywearing recommendations (from Babywearing International and the US Babywearing School) is to be feet out from birth - so you can start wearing feet out now if you'd like!

Please ignore the lady in the beginning. It's always safe to carry this way, even with newborns, as long as the baby is properly supported from knee to knee and the wrap is tight enough. Moby is always a bit slow. They were recommending back carries in them (which is VERY dangerous with any stretchy wrap) up until 18 months or so ago.

Okay, LOTS of babywearing today. This kid probably spent more time in a carrier than out of it today. I wrapped him probably 4 different times. The first time was in the double hammock and he stayed up there for almost 2 hours before I got tired and handed him over to DH to wear him. DH wore him probably 3 times throughout the whole day. The joys of finally getting all of our household goods arrive to our new house!

(yep, my husband wore him while in uniform! )

    Love the uniform pic, haha

Addy's been living in the Ergo the past few days as we have been dragging her all over Southern Arizona with our friends who were visiting. All through the antique stores and art galleries of Bisbee, on a long hike through the national park...girl's been riding everywhere. Even the power of BW wasn't enough for her to make it through a cave tour (she actually loved the cave, but HATED having to wait around while the guide talked...I ended up finding our way out and we played outside while we waited for everybody) but then we went on a tram ride up Sabino Canyon and she was so far overdue for her nap that she fell asleep like she'd been shot. I had her in a front carry so I could sit down on the tram, and she took her whole hour plus nap in there. We stopped at a waterfall, and I put my feet in the river and lay down on a little sandy beach area with her sleeping on my belly while everyone else swam. It was DELIGHTFUL. I got a couple of impressed comments from old ladies I'm sure I'll have a bunch of pics to post, but I'll have to wait for my friends to upload them.

Wow, that's great that she napped and everything! WTG babywearing!

Wore DS in a ruck tied in front at lows (always something missing in every house ) and then wore him in a ruck tied tibetan as I picked up organizational stuff at Target.

Are you doing cradle hold with him? DD hated her head in the wrap so I always ended up one handed too with that hold. Even with tummy to tummy she likes to lean her head way back so I end up supporting it when she gets sleepy.

Went for a stroller walk to Shopko today and ended up wearing DD in the RS while pushing the stroller around the store and back home. Felt a little silly pushing an empty stroller but so glad I had my RS in the diaper bag!

WOOHOO! got dh to wear her today! he likes that she's on his back now, going to try a ruck carry with him next time, he likes her right up high like a backpack! so proud of him! as for me, wore her to and from playgroup, inside my jacket i don't need to fuss with shoes/boots and jacket to go play inside! then wore her home from papa's (dh wore her there!) we're back to the moby style wrap on the back until i can figure out something else that works for us, for now she likes the leg support knee to knee and i like the weight on my chest instead of shoulders.

mel she looks enthralled with that camel! tfs pic!

jackie yay for internet! lol! aw what a cutie, tfs pics, the double hammock looks so comfortable on you! jade still complains about the way it is on her legs and it's leaving light red marks, then again she is 30lbs now (dh weighed her today!) what is your dh using? i love the uniform pic too! glad your stuff arrived!! i love the first shop in a new place!

leigh that sounds like a great day! teehee i would hate to try anything other than bw'ing in an antique store or art gallery!

becky i always have the moby in the diaper bag even when she wasn't wanting it for months, you never know when you'll need the stroller for carrying stuff home, and being able to take them out is soo handy! lol i know the feeling of the empty stroller though!

I had to rethread my RS and when I put in on to fcheck all was well DS wanted up so I wore him downstairs to get the nappies out of the machine.

Glad i rethreaded though it feels more secure and sits better
