Wow, Jackie! Congrats! That is fantastic!
No baby-wearing around here lately either. Well, except my DH has worn Beni maybe twice in the Ergo to get her home on his moped from my SIL's 1km up the road. But, my big trip is coming up in a week! Hopefully I'll do plenty of easy, no complaints baby-wearing in that 24 hours!

JACKIE!!! Congratulations! Love the new ticker, too All your new BW practice and knowledge is going to come in REALLY handy now!
I know what you mean about time flying, Erin...I'm completely surrounded by preggos IRL (all due around the same time, too) and it's shocking me how fast their pregnancies are flying by. Just brought in my Hypnobirthing book to share with a coworker friend today (she's also using the Birth Center, Erin, on my rec. Woo for spreading the love )
No BW yesterday. DH is on spring break so we got to go to the playground all together yesterday afternoon. Addy decided to shock the pants off of both of us by conquering a rock climbing wall, two giant double decker twisty slides, a centrifugal force spinny thing that makes adults want to die (and requires a fair amount of arm strength and coordination to use), and several ladders of all types. Basically she conquered everything on the 5-12 side of the playground except the monkey bars. This is my child who didn't crawl until she was 11 months. What??? I'm going to start having her carry ME soon.
I like how i replied to people yesterday but didn't include our BWing. Ha ha! I did wear Aiden a few times yesterday for short bursts of time (30 minutes or less) as I washed dishes, unpacked, etc.
quick note, jackie OMFG CONGRATS!!!!! that's fantastic!!!!! and yes i've been thinking about investing in something better for the toddler stage. something backpack ish quick in and out? any thoughts ladies, we're potty training and would love to ditch the pull ups when out. ergo, babyhawk etc?
For quick in and out and ease of use and ability to carry/distribute weight, I just don't think you can beat the Ergo. I love my mei tai... but, it still takes a minute what with all the straps and stuff. Ergo literally takes 2 seconds.

thanks mara, just re did my stress test and the one moby is starting to show signs of wear, good thing i made two! ergo is looking like the best option. have a great one ladies, i may be off to get me an ergo, babywear is a must my fav store gives 10% off if you wear baby instore!!
If you're really enjoy wrapping, maybe see about a shorty (I'd say a size 3 or 4 for you which is 3.1 tp 3.6 meters respectively) woven wrap. MUCH shorter than you're used to so you'll be more limited on carries but you could probably kangaroo on front and ruck on back easily (there are others too). If it weren't for my long tails in my size 5 (hence why I'm looking into buying a shorty myself) I can ruck just as fast if not faster than using a SSC at this point.
If you want a buckle carrier I'd decide on a budget you're willing to spend on one and look into one that has a bigger body than the Ergo (there are quite a few including Bamberoo and Kinderpack both of which can be bought used online for cheaper than new). You're toddler is TALL and the Ergo might already be too small compared to the support and coverage you have been getting from wrapping. DS isn't quite knee to knee anymore in the Ergo and I have no doubt in another year we won't be using the Ergo much if at all, but I can see us still using a larger bodied carrier (I plan to BWing as long as possible so probably 4 or 5 with a preschool sized pack ). Kangas are supposed to be great too. And I know there are others but my brain just isn't working great today. lol.
Good grief. I would go back and correct my grammar and spelling issues, but I just don't care at this point. Sorry. lol
LOL spelling and grammar belong in school and resumes in my opinion! here it's to be expected! well i looked quick (again) into a variety of carriers, started with the 'new faq' thread and went from there. considering the dog grabbed the moby right after my last post and played tug of war with jade, quickly ripping the fabric where her new would be… had to do something quick, SIL agreed to chip in for a new "whatever i wanted" went into my fav store and tried on a becco and an ergo, talked with the two ladies about options and what their customer tale experience was (plus their own personal, each has 3+ kids!) we went with the purple mystic original ergo, not a fan of the low body but we played a little and snapped the head cover on the longest setting just at her neck instead of over her head and it was just enough to make her stop leaning! 4 hours today in it and we did great! love the quick in and out, especially out! totally adjustable and not that intimidating. thanks for all the help! i have been looking at these from a distance for some time now but necessity tends to make me move lol!!!
*as for storage of items… went to a leather/luggage store and grabbed a fanny pack! $10 and it's big enough for pullup, ziploc of wipes, wallet, keys, phone etc and lots of room left over, i could probably get a 'outfit to go' in there (ziploc airtight of light shirt and leggings) without any problem!
