Ha ha! Well, it's not like we're new to flying...the people on the plane couldn't believe it when I said DD has been on 5 continents in her short life. But, that said, the worst episode we had was during one of the night flights when DD woke up screaming because she had a gassy tummy. This also meant she didn't want to be held, so she was squirming with all her might to try to get away from me- but this all happened while the seat belt sign was on because of turbulence. So she's screaming her head off, wriggling around like something is eating her from the inside out, and the stewardess says to me, "You really need to hold on to her, the seat belt sign is on." I gave that woman the dirtiest look EVER, and said, "I'M TRYING!" Which I think was PRETTY obvious!

I'll try to get a picture of the Ergo today- I'm 30 weeks today, so I need to take pictures anyway. But seriously, Leigh, it was comfy. Way more comfy than my old Ergo. I think the waist strap (webbing? ) also is thicker/differently shaped on the body side of things, and that also makes a difference.

That sounds frustrating with the stewardess!

Went to the babywearing meeting this morning. It was a lot of fun, but I was sad that the lady who does all the wrapping didn't come even though she said she would. I didn't get to feel up any other pretty wraps. But I did get to help a lot of ladies with carriers. One mom finally agreed she needed more than just a pouch! I also got to try on a lot of carriers - an Oh Snap!, Beco, Boba, gira RS wrap conversion, and Olives and Applesauce. I was really surprised how thin the shoulder straps were on the Oh Snap! which made it a lot more uncomfortable than my Bameroo and Ergo. Just not a whole lot of padding and not very wide at all. Kinda diggy. Boba was pretty comprobale to the Ergo, but I find my Ergo slightly more comfortable personally. Two ladies tried on my Bamberoo and wanted it because they found it the most comfortable of all. A lot of ring sling fans there because they had small newborn babies. Tried my hardest, but I could not get this one mom to try legs out with her ring sling. The poor baby did not have froggied feet inside either; they were below her body causing a lot of pressure on her legs and feet. I may print out info and hand it to her at the LLL meeting next week that she said she'll be at. Overall it was a fun morning!

That's great. I really, really wish we'd had something like that here when I was new to BW! Our regular mom and baby group had a couple of experienced wearers who really helped me out a lot (nothing like seeing things in person!) but I wish I'd had the opportunity to talk to a variety of people experienced with all kinds of carriers in a dedicated group. What a great resource! They're lucky to have you

jackie i know right! had an arguement with her yest about the puma in her bedroom? logic already? that's why i didn't recognize you already, i couldn't believe how old aiden has gotten already! YAY glad you had fun and that you got to try such variety! hope the lady gets the itch to try something new!

mara the pics were great! glad you're liking it! i love how fast they settle up there! some ppl just don't seem to get it, have you seen the new dissolve tabs for infant gas? can't remember who makes them now but they are great for travel tummy aches not fighting with gripe and a syringe or spoon.

leigh yep took a lot of trial and error to learn how to get jade down after a carry, swimming to moby to crib became necessity for two weeks her first year! done the walks to sleep though!

erin hope your back feels better soon that's never fun. 2 am + moby + cranky xmonth old happened a couple times when she was young, dh hated it, we weren't in the best neighbourhood but i figured sleep deprived momma bear was scarier than anything out there! lol!

jade's been a bear too, molars pushing again (two year bottoms) always bungs her up with all the extra saliva and i tend to forget about the gripe water and warm bath trick!

short trip to playgroup and back this morning, im loving not fighting with her jacket and boots, even with the moby i had her ready to go before anyone else! toddlers and winter boots, who knew it wasn't easy! lol! been a long day though but tom… tom we are taking her for the day to ride the LRT (light rail transit) since she's been all about trains so i'm sure there will be a lot of up and down with the ergo!

No baby wearing today, but hubby came into work after he had been op shopping and shows me that he bought a carrier. It was a crotch dangler and I told him how bad they are for kids hips and Ronin is likely too big for it and mentioned how I wanted a better style of that and he said go for it. Happy dance. Now to decide to stay with the boba 2g or splurge on the ergo.
Well not getting it anymore, there crazy super special is over and the price has jumped up $30 and I can't really justify spending the money now it's not a crazy stupid cheap price. Oh well, some other time I guess.

Bummer about missing the sale, but now at least you know you can jump on it next time you see a great price, right?

Wore Addy to her ENT checkup yesterday (flying colors--her tubes have healed perfectly and her hearing is 100% now, yay!) which was great since it's kind of a walk from the car, and you have to move around so much there (car-->check-in-->waiting room-->ENT-->2nd waiting room-->audologist-->2nd waiting room-->ENT-->car) that dealing with a stroller would be a major PITA. I seriously haven't even touched my stroller in months now--I can't remember the last time! Loving it.

That's actually really great that he thought of you and BWing when he saw that device. At least you know you can keep price watching and get something when you see a good deal.

That's too funny about not remembering the last time you used your stroller! I know mine will get used more as the super hot months hit. I love to BW, but even last summer if we were outside for a long time (like long walks and such) I pulled out the stroller. That and it's easier to try on clothes with DS stepped in a stroller than with me wearing him. lol

Yeah, true--the dressing room factor is definitely an argument for strollers! Although I the last time I went clothes shopping at a place that didn't have shopping carts, I was thankfully not with the shorty. Sometimes if I'm really quick, I can get her interested enough in the mirror to finish changing before she thinks of trying to climb under the door

I loved BWing while shopping once DS could sit, but couldn't crawl anywhere. That very brief time I could BW him in a store and then sit him on the carrier in the dressing room without worries. Now I'm back to using a stroller. Which I do say makes it more difficult to get through the racks!

Broke out my Mei Tai Baby this morning as DH and I were working on hanging pictures and such upstairs.

Picture from yesterday of a mom trying out my Bamberoo SSC with her 9 month old. He is a tiny guy though and about the size of Aiden at about 5 months. She loved it. lol

yay dh for thinking about you like that! at least he's trying to get into the bw'ing thing!! jump woman jump!!! sorry the sale is over but grab the next one!
haven't touched the stroller in a couple weeks, it's mostly the 'shopping' aid now, ride up fill it and wear back! clothes shopping she needs to be in a cart, she picks out my clothes! lol! seriously i have no sense but she's great!
great pics! glad she liked your bamberoo, that pattern is so cute! lol just had to teach my spell check bamberoo!

today was LONG!!! jade wants to ride trains so we spent the day on the LRT (light rail transit) system, stairs and walks and OMG the kid went from 10:30 -2pm before she crashed!! got some good bw'ing pics though and if she'd stayed awake dh was going to 'piggy back ride daddy' but she was already on me before she woke up.

ps jade picked out the pants i'm wearing!
coma at the mall daddy's idea of putting the hood 'over' her head, i wasn't about to burst his bubble at this stage of the day! lol! he did fix it 5 min later on his own logic!

    i'm awake honest! riding home

walking home after a long day out! i'm leaning in playing wiggle games!
