I wore Addy today on a long walk. We have an AWESOME under-utilized park near our house with a brand new, fancy playground and a 2.5ish mile exercise loop around reservoirs and natural desert, and there is hardly anyone there, ever...saw some dogs flush a whole pack of jackrabbits--it was very cool! I put Addy in the Ergo on my back and she enjoyed about half the walk and then passed out. Left some nice drool on my back, too.
I am pretty long waisted, but I wore the Ergo high to start with, and she was WAY arms-out. Then near the end I told DH my hips were hurting (like the leg joints at the top of my thighs) and he told me to loosen the waist strap to wear her lower and take some of the weight on my shoulders to give my hips a break--old backpacking tip, I guess. Worked well!
No BWing yesterday. *gasp* But I wore DS at the BX today. Allowed me to dig through clearance racks where I found several pairs of nice jeans for DS next year for $2 each!
Wore DS as we walked to a neighborhood park and back this afternoon. I feel like we look homeless.
(See my ugly one shoulder back pack on my front? )
Love it. His feet look huge in that picture, but maybe I just think that because Ronin's are still so freaking tiny. No babywearing today, but planning on wearing Ronin on Thiursday for Australia as my Guides are raising the flag and helping with breakfast. Going to try that darn back carry again if it's not raining, if it is it's likely to be the ring sling because it's easier and he won't get as wet.
I love it too.
I almost wore DD at the store yesterday (now that I have finally rescued my Ergo from the truck, which DH usually has when I want it), but ended up choosing the stroller because I thought we'd be carrying a lot of bags...turned out we didn't, so it was an opportunity missed. But today is another day!
Wendy, that's because those are huge shoes! They're a size too big boots my mom bought for Aiden.....that we'll never be wearing to the park again! Stupid shoes don't fit through the holes for the baby swing! I had to take the darn things off just to get him in. How dumb!
Leigh, there have been a couple of times where I've worn Aiden and pushed the stroller full of bags.
YAY! Redeemed myself Wore DD on my back in the Ergo for an expedition to 4th Avenue (our local pedestrian-friendly shopping district), a trip which included three up/downs (so she could dismantle stores instead of playing with the toy areas [insert eye roll])
