Melissa, sounds like a great plan!

I briefly wrapped DS yesterday as I searched for the latest TIME magazine issue. Of course no body in this backwards place has it yet.

BWing lots this morning. Went to the plant nursery and wore DD there. Then to Aldi where she fell asleep in the car, stayed asleep in the carrier and only woke up as we were walking back to the car with the groceries. That includes a potty stop for both DS and me! LOL. Guess she was a little tired or something!

Jackie - I don't even want to ask around for the issue of TIME, because where I live, people don't even make it 6 months BFing. *sigh* I'm so not like everyone I live around! I did read the Q&A from her, but wanted to read the entire thing.

    Tangent - beware!

I don't get it. why do choices about our children divide women so much? Men typically just shrug off the choices they make that are different than their friends and move on 90% of the time. Why are women so much more judgmental of each other? It makes me sad, confused and upset. I might be surprised by a choice another woman makes (not BWing with multiple young children for example), but I try so hard not to judge. I don't always succeed, but I try to remind myself that there are many reasons people do/don't do something.

some wearing lately (like this morning when we were all geared to go for a walk and she fell down the stairs on the way out and demanded backpack for the walk!) likely more on the way home from swimming tom too. looks like we are a go for the new bathroom just waiting on the neighbours schedule to get started! so happy!! Happy Mother's to all!! i've requested sleeping in and waking up to a clean house  told dh whatever happens i WILL remember next month!

as for that article… soooo much stuff going around, the amount of trash talk is appalling, facebook is blanketed with it. decided i don't even want to read it and join the fight! mara, i read the link jackie posted, some ppl seem to stalk and take things personally, for both of you (in case she reads this too) i didn't see anything personal in there and the 'quote' you put could have been anyone on any of the topic boards or facebook discussions anywhere if she hadn't pointed to herself on it. somedays i think AP, BW'ing, CD'ing need to be ranked up there with religion and politics in the 'beware' discussions! aka not dinner table talk! lol!! mel i think on my fb the men seem more vocal than the woman about this one!! now if we want a fun one to read/talk about i LOVE Lenore Skenazy! freereangekids is just too funny some times! seriously asking the neighbours to sign a legal waiver before their kids can play in your yard because you have a trampoline?

Man, I went and enjoyed a lovely day yesterday and was surprised to come back and find interesting stuff on pg.org about recent things!
I wore DS at the beach yesterday in my blue wrap. It was perfect for the beach. The sand slid right off of it. It was a great blanket when we needed it, and it allowed us to walk along the beach and get to and from our car with all of our stuff! DH wore Aiden for part of an aquarium we visited too. It was after 4pm and he hadn't had a nap, so a ride of daddy's back kept him calm and happy till we were done.

I never thought about using a wrap as a blanket at the beach - great idea!

I feel so lucky that everyone I know has either been positive about that article or just mad at the sensationalism of TIME, not getting up in arms and nasty about mommy choices. Man, I haven't BW in forever...I've been taking the Ergo everywhere, but DD is just getting to be such an efficient walker, and we really haven't needed it lately. But hey, to everything there is a season, right? I'm still enjoying spreading the word (when appropriate and not judgmental ) and am so glad to have the option!

I wore Aiden today! This time I broke out a mei tai. I wore Aiden in my EllaRoo MT as I picked up a couple of things we needed still for our upcoming trip (just going home for my little sister's graduation). The MT was okay. The baby is still too low for me to get anything comfortable below the belly (cause below the belly is my crotch lol). I kept tugging on the tie trying to get it below my belly (which never did work). I tried with both waist and shoulder straps tied above the belly, but that put too much weight on an uncomfortable part of my back. But I did manage and I'll keep trying with MTs.

Hey ladies... I haven't done any baby-wearing in a long time either. And this thread is so active, I don't keep up. Sigh.

I still need to properly thread my linen RS. Jackie, wanna come do it for me?
