The Moby claims to 35 lbs too. I mean it's not dangerous (well usually), just not comfortable and has to be adjusted a lot more often because it keeps stretching out. Still not quite sure what the makers were thinking by saying that it works for toddlers. They really don't.
Well, I went down to the fabric store and asked someone to help me find that fabric. Then I priced it. $4.99/yrd which ended up being 5.25 yrds for 4.6 meters. $26 something total! It doesn't feel quite as stretchy and it's not as long as my miracle wrap, but I double wrapped the excess on that one. This is long enough to tie in back (though I'm used to tying in front).
That was fast! Great job! lol. Now time to watch some videos! Not having that stretchiness means it should be supportive for way longer and now if you ever feel the desire you can do back carries.

(FCC is a "poppable" carry which you might really like starting off with because you tie it on first, put the kiddo in, and then tighten as needed. If kiddo wants down you can do that without untying!)
Both carries were very supportive for me before I was pregnant and Aiden was 24 lbs/over a year. I actually miss those carries and the snuggles from them.
BW is on hold for us right now while we're PTing...once she starts self-initiating and asking to go reliably, I'll get back to it, but frankly right now I'm terrified of getting peed on! There were several opportunities I had this weekend to BW but I couldn't bring myself to risk it. Maybe by the time we go pumpkin picking next week...
No baby wearing here, he is really fighting any form of confinement so I think our days are pretty much over. I did pop him in the boba when he was asleep and I needed to run into a shop but he woke up almost straight away and fought to get down the whole time.
All my carriers bar my mei tei and boba ( and one ring sling which is mia somewhere right now) have been loaned to an ex workmate who is due to have her next baby any day now.
Ring sling snuggles (okay, he's OUT! lol) at where else - Target! Ha ha. You can tell that he's REALLY high (there was no way to support him with material up to his shoulders like I prefer), but I was surprisingly comfortable. Because I put him up for snuggles on his request, I knew he'd be leaning into me and not playing his usual game of leg straightening and leaning back (with a deep seat and material up to his shoulders he can't escape though lol). I felt bad taking him out to go home because we were both happy.
Don't know what was up with this child today, but he wanted to be in the ring sling again this afternoon! I used the time to enjoy the snuggles and to pick up the kitchen with one hand (the hand on him wasn't needed, but he got restless if an arm wasn't on him).
