Aww, Jackie, that last photo is so sweet! Although, Aiden is already sitting on his sister. Let's hope there is less of that when she is out.
I made our crock pot dinner while Nora was in the Mei Tai today. I am happy to say she spent two hours in the wrap on Saturday when we went to the pumpkin patch! She slept most of the time and thank goodness it was a little breezy so it kept us cool on an unusually warm October day.
(FYI, I was a little annoyed that my husband didn't notice the hat strap across Nora's forehead! Loving this pic otherwise. Most of my BW photos are taken by me in our bathroom, lol.)
I am so jealous of all the snuggles you get, Jackie! I know there are downsides (um, hello 36 week pregnant lady carrying a 2 year old around all day!) but that looks awfully sweet and cuddly. This morning (in OUR bed), Adair kept saying sternly to me and DH "Leave me alone!" if we tried to snuggle her at all.
Nope. If she's uncomfortable she's more than old enough to let you know that it hurts there. There are actually strap carries that I've seen a couple of BWers do (usually with a toddler or in an emergency): Strap Carry
My straps along the thighs usually end up where yours are honestly. DS has never complained. He sometimes gets red marks, but they remind me of sock marks. Looks bad, but the person doesn't even notice anything.
No BWing here since last week and that was just back in the ring sling really high on my front. I actually threw him in the stroller today where he took a nice long nap while I shopped and walked this baby back towards a more head down position (she's decided last week at almost 36 weeks that she wanted to be breech ).
Ohh I just saw the most beautiful didymos pfau wrap, but can't justify the money, our babywearing days are over I think. He just won't stay up there and wants to walk all the time. I don't know what I will do at the doctors surgery next week, my doctor is always running late and it's at least an hours (depending on road works) drive so I can't just call and see how far behind they are and head out a bit later.
Haven't been on long enough to post this.. but the other day when I had DH take the video of me putting Evie on my back with the Ergo for the soft carriers thread... I started folding laundry since I had her on and out of the way. Then she got SUPER fussy back there, so I took her off and put her down and she copped a fit. So I tried to put her in the crib for a nap cause it was obvious to me that she needed one. It was a no go. She's been great at taking naps easily the past week. She came out of the crib and kept grabbing at the Ergo and tried to bring it to me. So I loaded her in the front (she falls backwards if she conks out on my back). She fell asleep within 2 minutes and I got some laundry folded. She's kinda too big to work around. I ended up folding some towels on top of her.
Even though she was in my way and I didn't get much accomplished, it was a good feeling to have her sleeping on my chest again. I just wanted to sit down and cuddle my sweet baby love.
I miss front carry cuddles so much! THe awkward RS carry I've done a few times this past month have been nice, but not quite the same. Definitely limiting on being productive, but oh so nice to just stand back and enjoy the closeness while they let us.
