I started Sunday off with 30 min of Fat Burning X10 - it was a great workout with weights mixed into the cardio and I really liked it. The rest of the day was filled with cleaning the kitchen and floors, baking cake and cupcakes for next weekend, laundry, soccer games (Brodie scored a goal and was so proud), doing Dave's books, and prep work for the games/treats for the Halloween party. I feel like I accomplished a lot this weekend and hopefully I won't have too much to do this week for prep work (other than cleaning the basement and setting up the mad scientist lab).

For a quick intro on me. I'm Cindy (34), married to Dave (36) and we have 3 kids Brodie (7), Lily (5), and Lucas (1). We live in the Bozeman, MT area and I work full time on campus while Dave owns his own computer store in town. I have always struggled with my weight and didn't realize that my body shape isn't one to be scrawny so in my head as a kid I was fat even when I wasn't. Lily is shaped like me so I'm trying to get her to realize she's muscular and not fat - we've already had the kids calling her fat issue. I got really heavy in college and didn't get it together until after having Lily. We moved to a gluten free diet (it runs in my family and my husband also has issues) and I cleaned up a lot of our eating. I also starting working out regularly and lost 40+ pounds. In 2010 I had a miscarriage and gained 10 pounds back then I got pregnant with Lucas in 2011 and have been trying to get back to my pre-preg weight for the past year. I'm about 6 pounds away right now so I'm close at least Smile My official goal is to hit 125-129 so I have about 30 pounds to go but exercise is back in my life so that's helping.

Steph - Congrats on your pregnancy and welcome to the group!

Amy - Welcome and I look forward to getting to know you.

Mandie - A walk to the parade is better than nothing. I hope you enjoyed your "date" night last night and the dessert. I have so many apples right now and am trying to hard to not make something sinful!

Dawn - Sorry food didn't go as planned this weekend & good luck with the pushups - they're slightly nicer than pull-ups I think Smile

How was everyone's weekend?

Cindy

Since I'm working today sadly no gym for me. (I work 12 hour shifts with 45 min commute) . I'm looking forward to getting to the gym tomorrow morning so I can weight in. I hope my few little splurges didn't backfire! Today I've been great about my water. I'm already at 6. My parents are watching the boys today and they were going to come home tonight but they asked for an extra overnight. I get to sleep in a little tomorrow. I have an hour or 2 tonight that I can do stuff by myself (Hubby works late), empty house. I'm so overwhelmed with all the little projects/chores/organizing that I want to do. But looking forward to getting something done.

I'm feeling very cranky today. Nothing happened today but I feel like its a bunch of things lately. I feel like people are getting so inconsiderate and don't care about anyone. About a month ago a friend of mine had a baby and was really sick in afterwards. I made homemade manicotti and DH gave them to her husband at work for dinner. Still weeks later she has not even called/texted/facebooked me anything to just say thank you or acknowledge this. Typing this makes me feel like I'm making it about me and I really don't want to. But how do u not even say thank u. I wrote full thank you letters to people that made meals for me after my boys were born. Then the other thing was yesterday at the Halloween parade. We were sitting by a family that had 2 moms and about 6 kids ages 5-10. The kids were actually tackling each other over the candy. THe one little girls costume was ripped because of them fighting. The same girl tried to take candy out of my 1 year olds hand (which I yelled at her for) She ran 15 feet from her family for this piece of candy. The Mom's didn't care that the kids were beating each other up or being rude to other children. I just don't get people. We brought can goods to the parade for the food bank float and money for the another organization doing something for kids with cancer. We taught Joey that the parade was about having fun and the candy was just a bonus. Ok i'm going to try to stop being cranky now.

My intro - I'm Mandie. I live outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I'm Mom to 2 little boys Joey 4 and Lucas 1- They are both my little miracle babies after years of infertility and IVF. We are sadly done having children. I was heavy to start off with but gained a lot of weight during the stress of infertility. DH and I used our income tax and joined a gym that is 2 miles from our house. It is so convenient and I LOVE that place. I've been great with the motivation for the gym but I struggle with the eating side of things.

Steph - Welcome to the group. Congrats on your pregnancy.

Cindy - That really stinks that Lily is already getting comments on her weight. People really stink. Good job on getting everything done so early for the party. Good job brodie. If u have so many apples you could make an apple pie filling for Thanksgiving or Christmas and freeze it. I did that last year when I found apples cheap. All I did was cut the apples and mix everything up and I think I baked it for 1/2 the time. Then once it cooled I stuffed it in a ziplock and froze it.

Quick Hello

Hi all! My name is Amy, I am mom to Zayden (4 almost 5) and two step daughters, my daughters (26) and now three granddaughters. I am still trying to lose the baby weight from when Zayden was born, so far unsuccessfully. I work too much so haven't been great on getting in shape.

I used to be on preg.org a lot but not as much since our birth boards went away. My work is calming down so hopefully I can get back to focusing on myself.

More later, I have to go to the dentist in 30 minutes, when I was a kid I knocked out my front teeth in a bike accident. They put them back in but now my one tooth is too loose so I have to got have it pulled and have an implant put in. On the bright side, maybe I will lose a bunch of weight this week since I doubt I will be eating.

Nice to "meet" you all and look forward to chatting with you later.

Cindy, way to go on getting so much done over the weekend. I let the weekend escape me LOL. Are the LOs getting excited about having a halloween party?

Mandie, I don't blame you for not working out on the days you work. That is a LONG day and I'm sure you are exhausted by the time you get home. I completely agree with you that people are just inconsiderate anymore. No one knows the word THANK YOU. As for the moms that didn't do anything about their kids, they were probably so wrapped up in their own little world and didn't even realize that their kids were acting up. I'm glad you stood up for your son and yelled at the brat!!!

Amy, how did your dentist appointment go? Can't wait to get to know more about you.

AFM, push ups killed me last night. I didn't feel like doing them, but I sucked it up and did it anyway. I am extremely tired and I think it is due to the change in weather and getting darker sooner. I HATE winter. Food was back on track yesterday. I was very thrilled with that. I still have to get those vitamins I told you all about a few weeks ago. I just haven't made it a priority to get to GNC. I have a hair appointment tonight right after work, so no official exercise for me. I'm sure I won't get home until after 7 and I have to eat dinner. I will try to make it up some time this week.

Yesterday was a good day for me. I got in a couple walks while at work and then did 35 min of MMA Fusion, I was able to do moves that surprised me so that was nice. I'm feeling my bum today and that's a good thing Smile Depending on how sore my legs are tonight I may opt for my Afterburn DVD rather than Muscle Max, we'll see. I also need to start cleaning up/organizing the basement for the mad scientist lab - I'm not looking forward to the clean up part.

Mandie - Great idea on the apples! I'm planning to use some this weekend for a party dish so I'll have to see what I have left over. Sorry people are disappointing you, I get frustrated with the lack of thank-you's and courtesy in society anymore. If she had at least given you a verbal thank you it wouldn't be quite as bad. I know I make my kids write thank-you's but so many people don't feel it's important. Did you get a lot done last night?

Amy - I hate dental work and the soreness that follows, that's probably why I'm putting off calling to get my broken molar checked! What do you do for exercise and when do you get it in? I have been very limited with my time to exercise lately and I find evenings after the kids are in bed work best for me. Lots of nights I only have time for 20-30 min but it's better than nothing and I feel so great afterwards - it usually gives me the energy to then get a few chores done around the house before bed Smile

Dawn - Great job with the push-ups, they get so stinking hard after awhile but it's worth it! The kids are really excited for the party, we have two yes's so hopefully I'll get more soon!

Mandie - I have the same issues with thank you notes. I don't blame you for not working out on your work days. You only have so much time in the day. I'm out of the house for 11 hours (work+commute) and I can't imagine adding more time on top of that and doing anything extra at home!

Welcome Amy!

Dawn - I hope you can find time to get the vitamins. I'm interested to see if they make a difference!

Cindy - I hope you get more "yes!" I'm always nervous when I plan a kids party because some people take awhile to RSVP.

So the last couple days I've been getting up at 5 to do a DVD. It hasn't killed me and I'm no more tired in the day. I always like it when I do but I make so many excuses and I get derailed from it super easy. The main positives are that I shower quicker than when I'm half asleep, I don't get as stiff as when I do it in the evening and then go to bed and by 6 am, I know I've met my exercise goal.

I have a lady coming on the weekend for a babysitter interview. She is 60 and doe the Red Cross babysitter course here so I'm sure she'll be fine. I contacted a few 18-20y through the care.com website but haven't heard back yet. We are going to go see Bon Jovi. Takes me back to being a kid Smile I remember at the end of music class, our music teacher would let us pick a song (usually top 40) and he'd play it on the record player Smile and Bon Jovi was picked a lot. I don't really know his new stuff so hopefully there is lots of old stuff!

HI ladies. I'm in a much better mood today. Last night I came home and pulled most of the furniture out of my family room and vacuumed and shampooed the carpet. It looks so much better now. I have a few stains that didn't come out completely but I will work on them another day. Today was super busy and productive. I didn't loose as much as I hoped I would this week but I did have a 2 pound loss so I'm happy. I think my weekend splurges did more damage that I realized.

Dani - I'm so jealous that your going to see Bon Jovi. I love him. He puts on a great concert. Glad ur getting to interview babysitters. Good job on getting up so early in the morning. That's great!!!!

Amy - HOpe your dentist appt went well. Its nice to meet u to.

Cindy- good luck on cleaning up the basement. I'm so excited for your party. It sounds like so much fun.

Dawn - Sorry u won't get a work out but taking care of u is just as important. Just getting a trim or did u change anything?

Cindy, great job on getting a few walks in and your workout. How was last night's workout? Are you all set for the party? How many people are you going to have?

Dani, that is awesome that you are getting up in the morning to do the workout. The few times I did that, I felt more energized throughout the day. I hope the interview goes well and you like the lady.

Mandie, great job on the loss!!! Keep up the great work. I'm with you on the weekend splurge. We used to only have 1 cheat day and now DH is going on like 3, which leads me to cheat too.

AFM, I didn't get my workout in yesterday, which I missed but I'll try to make it up. I went a lot darker than normal. It is a medium brown with caramel lowlights in it. I know my mother is going to freak out when she sees it b/c she likes it blonde, but I needed a change. I'm not sure I like it yet as it is going to take some time to get used to. Food was good despite not getting home until 7:15. I am exhausted b/c DH was up all night coughing (he refuses to take medicine saying he doesn't have any of the symptoms on the box UGH) and that kept me up. I'm hoping I will have the energy to do the workout tonight when I get home. I lost 1 lb last week, which I am happy about. If I could lose 1 lb a week, that would be great

Yesterday wasn't as good for food as I had hoped so I gave myself a 3. Water was good by the time I went to bed and I had a very active day. I got in a short walk while at work, did 22 min of Athletic Training (did a shorter workout because it was 8:45 by the time the kids were in bed and I was ready), and then spent 50 min cleaning the basement. It was gross! I killed about 4 spiders and much more dust bunnies Smile Things are picked up and organized and tonight I'll work on the layout for the lab. I have a total of 3 girls coming and 1 boy, the kids keep telling me their friends say they'll make it but until I hear officially I won't expect them. I'm prepared for lots of people either way. For exercise tonight I need to do arms (my butt cheeks are sore still today) so I'll probably do Afterburn since it works the arms but there's really no getting away from the legs! I lost .6 pounds this past week, not as high as I wanted but I also found my hand in the candy corn jar more than it should have been!

Dani - I struggled with getting up early to exercise, great job getting it in. I hope you like the lady at the interview and I'm sure the concert will be a blast.

Mandie - Great job cleaning your floors! A 2 pound loss is great, I'm proud of you!

Dawn - Congrats on the 1 lb loss! I would tell DH to sleep on the couch if he can't stop coughing. I'm feeling very prepared for the party - it helps to spread things out. I did the food shopping yesterday and plan to have the mad scientist lab ready before Saturday. I am expecting to still get RSVP's through Thursday and that's OK.

Good afternoon!

So I am doing okay food wise, unfortunatley (LOL) with my front tooth out as part of the implant, a "flipper" and 15 stitches, I am pretty much on a soft food diet and there isn't much to eat. So, yes, I am starving. I am on massive meds too, including steroids, so last night i was actually so tired I went to bed by 8, pretty much unheard of.

Someone asked what I do for exercise, usually I try to walk about an hour at lunch several times a week. This week not so much but maybe next week. I want to start going back to the Y and working out but that will come.

Amy - wow, 15 stiches. How long are you on the soft food diet?

Cindy - good job on getting the basement cleaned up. The party sounds like it will be lots of fun!

I did Tae Bo this morning. It doesn't make me sweat as much as the other DVDs I have but I find it good for getting my arms and legs looser to do the more intense ones. I plan on doing it 1-2x/week.

I finally admitted to work today that I lost my keys. I have looked everywhere (home, lost and founds, car). Hopefully I can get a new set soon. It has been 2 weeks. I've never lost anything like this before.

I got an hour of yoga in today at the gym. The normal instructor was out and the teacher today was intense. Normally I don't feel sore after yoga but today my thighs are burning and my arms hurt. But I enjoyed it. I'm hoping to get a workout in tomorrow but I scheduled a playdate for Lucas during my normal workout time. I feel like I become a recluse when I'm 100% committed to the gym. I need to figure out how to have a social life, still go to the gym, have time to run errands and still be home in the afternoon for Lucas's nap. Water was good. We ordered Chinese for dinner and I was really good about my portions and I skipped my bedtime snack!!

Dani - Good job on mixing up your workout routines. I like to keep changing stuff to. I get a better results in the long run and I don't get tired of anything. I also find I can work thru something I don't enjoy as much if I only have to do it once a week. Sorry u can't find your keys.

AMy - Ouch 15 stitches. How long do u have to eat soft food? I hope u find something u enjoy soon.

Cindy - Good job on the 0.6 - It's still a loss so don't be hard on yourself. Great job on the the walks and the workouts.

Dawn - Your DH sounds a lot like mine! We used to just have a spluge meal and then it turned into a day and now its a few times. It drives me nuts because when he splurges its really hard to maintain my healthy eating. I also don't want to be the food cop with DH but he desperately needs to loose the weight. He is over 300 pounds. I agree with Cindy, DH should sleep on the couch! HOpe u get some sleep tonight! The color sounds nice for your hair. THe nice thing about hair is that u can always grow it out or die it back.

Yesterday was decent, food was only a 3 (I seriously need to lay off the sugar, what is my issue?) but I got in a 30 min workout - not the one I planned but a HiLo that had me panting. I was able to get two loads of laundry done last night plus some clean up in the garage. This morning I was productive in folding and putting away laundry and taking care of dishes, it's nice to have those two things off my plate! No official exercise tonight since my goal is to get the house cleaned from top to bottom - fun! We received two more RSVP's so we have 4 more kids and at least 3 more parents coming. In total we're looking at about 21 people right now so not too shabby.

Amy - Your ordeal makes a crown look like a cake walk, 15 stitches! Agh! I hope the extra sleep helped you out.

Dani - That is the worst feeling losing something like that, hopefully you find them even after getting a new set. I love the martial arts work outs, I know that even if I don't feel winded while doing them my muscles get worked properly because I'm sore in new areas.

Mandie - If you find the perfect balance between work, exercise, social life, kids, and chores let us know! It's a constant struggle that I'm on top of some weeks and not so much other weeks. Great job on the yoga, I've had yoga sessions that have left me sore also.

Cindy, sorry food wasn't so good for you. Were you able to get back on track yesterday? Yay for the loss!! Are you still taking any of the advocare?

Amy, sorry about your tooth giving you trouble. How long will you be on the soft food diet? I hope you can find some foods that fill you up.

Dani, great job on getting the workout in. I like Kenpo best out of all my workouts. It goes by so quick when it's something you enjoy.

Mandie, I give you a lot of credit for doing yoga. I try it all the time, but I get so frustrated that I can't bend like that and I give up. Great job on portion size for dinner.

AFM, I was so exhausted that as soon as I got home from work, I put my pajamas on and just layed on the couch. We are in serious need of getting to the grocery store. We honest have nothing in the house to make a complete meal LOL We have fish, but no rice or veggies, we have cereal, but no milk, thank god we have bread and eggs LOL

Dawn - good luck staying on track with no groceries. It always makes me struggle with food choices

Mandie - I like yoga but it always makes me ralize that I am no where near as strong or as flexible as I am in my mind.

I got a surprise parcel last night from one of my mom's friends (my grade 4 teacher). I guess a few years ago my mom had given her my grandma's mink dinner jacket because she had said she had some craft ideas (my mom was going to give it to goodwill). Anyway, she turned it into a big teddy bear and mailed it to me. She did a really good job with it.

I apparently forgot to set my alarm last night. One of my cats had been meowing for awhile. I tried to ignore him but when I finally looked at the clock it was 5:20 am so I couldn't do the workout I'd planned. However, I decided I should still get up and do something quick. I did a 10 minute post natal "flatbelly" workout that was on one of my prenatal exercise DVDs. It is mainly different plank variations for the 10 minutes. My sides are so sore today. I'm hoping to bike a bit tonight. I will remember to set my alarm tonight!

ARRGHHH I'm so frustrated. Just spend the last 10 mins typing up a post and my laptop froze and lost the whole thing. So now I want to go to bed and DH is alreadt snoring on the couch waiting for me to finish so this one is going to be a lot shorter. Today was a great day, fun and productive. No formal exercise but lots of stuff around the hosue that I can use as points like carrying firewood. Food was ok. Water not so much. I need to read the weekly challenge and get some ideas to help me up my water intake.

Dani - I'm so impressed that u were able to still get a mini workout in after over sleeping some. That's some serious motivation. Good job. I love that the teddy bear out of a mink jacket. So sweet. I felt the same way the 1st few times I took yoga but the more I take the more I can do. I'm still no where near I want to be but each week I manage to do more and bend in a way I couldn't before.

Dawn - My couch has a magnetic forcefield that draws me in too. I hate when I'm missing key ingredients.

Cindy - Glad your getting more RSVPs Have fun cleaning.. I hope u get everyghing u need to done.

Night night everyone. (sorry for all the typo's and fragmented sentence's I'm just trying to get it typed quick)

Yesterday was a good day all around and the house is clean except for a little bit of vacuuming which I'll wrap up tonight. We'll set up the Mad Scientist Lab tonight and then tomorrow I'm focusing on food prep and raking leaves. Our last two warm (low 60's) days are set through Saturday and then we have a winter storm warning from Sunday afternoon til Monday, I'll be sure to get the fire pit set up outside and have those kids get some outdoor time in. I have 22-24 people coming to the party, why do I always stress no one will come?!? Not sure if I'll have time to check in this weekend but I am planning to get either a run or a quick workout in on Saturday morning and then again on Sunday evening. The kids' last soccer game is on Sunday and we'll carve our pumpkins once we get home from soccer. Should be a fun weekend!

Mandi - I hate when I lose posts! Great job on the activity and good luck increasing the water intake, it can be hard to make a habit.

Dawn - Sorry you've been so tired, hopefully you can get some extra sleep and fell better. I'm no long taking any Advocare supplements and I haven't gained anything back, I need to tighten up my food intake so I can get back to losing though.

Dani - Great job going with the flow and getting 10 min of plank in, that's a long time to do plank moves! That bear sounds amazing, what a sweet thing for her to do!

I hope everyone has a healthy &great weekend!

Grrrr. I typed a whole post and it's not here.

Dani, great job on getting some type of work out in despite getting up late.

Mandie, definitely count that housework as activity points. Sounds like you did a lot around the house.

AFM, no work out for me yesterday again. Ugh, this no energy is for the birds. I have to get a vitamin in me. We definitely will be doing some grocery shopping this weekend.

Dawn - hope u find some energy soon. What vitamins are u thinking about taking?

Cindy - Have fun tomorrow. What food are you having?

I didn't get my perfect day for exercise point yesterday. I ended up not feeling so hot in the evening. NOt sure if AF is coming or if I have a cyst on my ovary. The whole thing was weird and I just sat on the couch in the evening. Today I'm feeling much better. Keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't return.

I purposely skipped the gym today. We already spent hour and 1/2 raking and picking up leaves outfront. We just finished lunch and now we are going to start on the back yard. Yeah for fall. Doing pretty good on food and water so far. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Cindy - I'm thinking about u and the party today. Can't wait to hear how it goes.

Helloooo.... Is anyone out there?

We got so much done yesterday. Today I'm at work and DH called to say that he has the stomach flu. I am not looking forward to go home at all. DH is HORRIBLE when he is sick. Luckily food will good today since I'm at work. I can only eat what I brought with. I'm also working on menu planning for the next couple of weeks. Trying to plan some healthy meals.

Mandie, great job on getting to the gym and doing so much. Yay for having 3 days to yourself. What did you end up doing? It's a multi vitamin from GNC. I can't find the link to them right now.

AFM, I had a horrible weekend with food. Saturday was good, but Sunday sucked. Yesterday I was really dizzy, which I chalked up to drinking too much on Saturday, but when I woke up this morning I was still dizzy and I'm not feeling that well. I really hope that I am not getting the flu or a virus. I started to not feel so well Saturday night while we were out watching the PSU game. The lights were really hurting my eyes. I am going to try to get my workout in today depending on how I feel when I get home.

I survived the weekend! Smile Friday was beautiful when I got home so I raked leaves and once the kids were in bed Dave and I set up the mad scientist lab. Saturday I was on my feet all day. I prepped food (sloppy joes, veggie tray, fruit, 7 layer bean dip, and frosted cupcakes and cake), vacuumed, and did the final party details. We had 16 kids total and 7 adults, it was a lot of fun but man I was constantly going. The kids had a witches cauldron hunt in the back yard, the lab (which they really loved and got creative mixing things later on), the girls decorated masks, and we played Halloween Bingo. 3 hours went by quickly. I slept terrible that night since Lucas was up twice and Lily was up once. Yesterday we did the last of the party cleanup, had our last soccer game, ran errands, then headed to Big Sky since my aunt is vacationing up there for a week so we had dinner with them. It was 8:30 when we got home and I was busy getting things prepped for today so no official exercise.

Tonight we're carving pumpkins, I'm working on laundry, and I'll do my Hiit 40/20 workout. I need to get to bed on time since last night I was up twice and just didn't sleep well, I'm dragging a bit today.

Mandie - What a great and active weekend! I hope your DH is feeling better soon and that you and the boys don't catch it.

Dawn - Ugh on the dizzy feeling - hopefully it passes soon and isn't a bug moving in.

Cindy The party sounds like so much fun

Mandie - raking is hard work but I always like it

Dawn - I hope the dizzy feeling past and you were able to get a workout in today.

Not so great weekend for food or exercise. Nothing too bad but no effort to do anything too good either. The good thing when I was on birth control pills was no cycle but I felt blah all the time. Now that I'm off them, I feel less blah but now I get the headaches associated with it.

I ate some of the Halloween candy at breakfast. I then felt sick on the train this morning. It was bad enough it made me think of morning sickness (which is 99% impossible) but I still wondered if I should test.... I was fine for the rest of the day so I assume it is just too much sugar in the morning.

I'm still really tired (which is why I started off the day with chocolate) so my goal is to get to bed early tonight and then start the exercising in the morning tomorrow.

Mandie -- good for you for a workout!

Cindy the party does sound fun.

Dawn, hope you are feeling better!

I had a really busy weekend, pretty good for exercise. Yesterday we spent the entire day at Legoland...we have annual passes and had three free passes we have to use by my son's bday 11/13 so we took one of my adult daughters and her bf. We walked for HOURS and HOURS so that counts as exercise, right? That and chasing after a 4 yo! Smile

Eating pretty good, well I am pretty much still on a soft food/liquid diet until I get the stitches out in a week so food has been really good, though I have probably made up for lost calories with some wine.

Hope everyone has a great Monday. I will have to hop back on tomorrow to add up my points.

Cheers!

Amy - LEGOLAND sounds like fun. I've never been. U still have a week with the stitches.. u poor thing. That has to help with the food.

Dani - Did u decide to test or not? Even though I less than a 1% chance of getting preggo naturally I still convince myself on a regular basis that I'm pregnant. Hope u get a good night sleep tonight.

cindy - the party sounds like it was a lot of fun. Glad it went so well. Sounds like u had a very full weekend. So far I haven't caught the bug and I asked my parents to keep the boys an extra day so I could limit the exposure to the germs so they are good. But its killing me to be away from them soo long!!!

Dawn - I have spells of vertigo too. They stink. I had one Saturday afternoon as we were trying to rake leaves. It made it very difficult to bend over and stand up over and over. I ened up calling it quits and sitting on the couch. Luckily it went away for me. Its the worst feeling.

Had another productive day. I got up and went to the gym this morning and tried step aerobics for the 1st time. It was good and bad. I started off good and then 15 mins in I started to have a really hard time keeping up and following the steps. Which then I got in my own way mentally and started to cry. I had to leave the class for a few mins to calm down. I was so frustrated that after months at the gym I was still so out of breath and that I'm still 240 pounds. I'm so done with being this large and feeling like crap. But then I was super proud of myself because I went back in and finished the 40 minutes of the class and I did really well after my mini melt down. I got a lot of cleaning done this afternoon. The boys come home tomorrow afternoon. I'm so excited. I miss them so much!!!

Cindy, so glad everyone had a good time. You definitely had a busy weekend!! Hope you were able to just sit and relax last night.

Dani, how many DPO are you? Hope you are feeling better. Were you able to get to bed early?

Amy, that definitely counts as exercise. Did your LO enjoy being there? How is your mouth feeling? I can't imagine still having stitches for another week.

Mandie, way to go on getting to the gym. I'm so sorry you were upset. I'm glad you were able to compose yourself and get back in there and finish up!! Keep up the great work.

AFM, no official exercise again last night. I don't know what is going on with me, but I have had a headache since Saturday night and I've been dizzy. I really hope that it isn't a virus. I'm starting to get worried that maybe I should go to the doctor and see what the heck is going on. I went to be last night at 9 and ended up passing out with the tv on. I was just so exhausted. I still am. I woke up to AF spotting this morning. I then started thinking that maybe my being dizzy was connected to that. I doubt it, but wishful thinking on my part.

We got our pumpkins carved last night and thankfully we had leftovers so I heated those for dinner. I was exhausted and had a headache so I didn't get around to exercising but I did get to bed a little early. Doesn't feel like it this morning so I'm dragging - probably due to waking twice last night with Lucas. He was doing so well so I'm not sure what's going on right now. Brodie's soccer team is having a pizza party tonight so we'll do that - of course that means I have to rush home and heat up a GF pizza for him before we go - and then it will be homework and bed. I need to get the kids caught up on sleep before Halloween hits. Tonight I'll either do my Hiit workout or X10 workout - we'll see what I'm in the mood for.

Dani - Were you able to get to bed early last night and get up to exercise this morning? Any sick feeling this morning? Sugar will do the same to me so you'd think I'd learn and not over do it.

Amy - Walking definitely counts! The last dental work I had the dentist and assistant joked with me about just having wine for dinner since I needed to avoid chewing too much - it can help ease us through the misery of healing and not being able to eat normal.

Mandie - Great job going back in there! Don't get frustrated, think of all the years it took to gain the weight and remember it will take time to lose it but you're doing what you need to get where you want. STEP workouts can be hard to figure out the choreography. I do them at home and have had to stop and watch then rewind and try it, everyone struggles with a new routine. I do know if I over think it I then get really frustrated so just keep moving and do what feels natural.

Dawn - Do you think you need a chiropractic adjustment? I hope whatever it is it goes away quickly.

My son Zayden LOVES Legoland, we got passes last year for his birthday and renewed them again this year as his present. It is great for his age (five). Most of the rides he can do and its geared to these kids. We live 15 minutes from it so its actually pretty fun to go to, even for just a few hours.

My mouth is doing okay, the stitches are bothering but the worst part is this flipper/retainer thing that I am looking at wearing maybe for months. I can barely eat with it but I am not taking it out cause i Have no front tooth! LOL

Mandie, WTG on getting to the gym! Meltdowns happen but you are awesome for going back in to finish the class!

Dani, are you feeling better today?

Cindy - Hope you are feeling better today. I was exhausted last night too for some reason. Went to bed early which rarely happens but is nice. Hope your feel better today.

Amy - That so cool that u live so close to LEGOLAND. I'm sorry ur going to have to wear a retainer for so long.

Cindy - I hope ur headache went away. Sounds like a busy night. Good luck getting in a workout. Your absolutely right. When I over thought the steps is when I messed up. When I just went with the flow of things it seemed to come to me naturally. That you for the reminder that this is going to take me awhile.

Dawn - U might not be to far off about about the vertigo and your spotting being connected. I find when I have hormone spikes my body does some f'd up stuff. Including vertigo. The 2 days before my period starts or when I was on the hormones for IVF things would go soo screwy. Dizzy, blood sugar dropping, headaches, water retention, exhaustion. But getting checked out wouldn't be a bad idea. I would have them run a TSH level to see if your thyroid is working right.

I was forced to skip the gym this morning. I could barely walk when I got up after doing my step class yesterday. I did do a bunch of chores like sweeping/vacuuming and hauling firewood so I still get some exercise points. But my body need a break. I'm back to the gym tomorrow for yoga.

Cindy, sorry about the headache. I wonder if it is the change of weather that is causing the headaches. How do you feel today? How was your workout? Did Brodie have fun at the party?

Amy, so glad your son loves legoland and it's right around the corner from you. Sorry about having to wear the retainer for a few months

Mandie, great job on getting your chores done. Definitely rest your body when it tells you to or you will end up injuring yourself.

AFM, I am still feeling sick. I don't know what is going on and I really don't want to go to the doctor for him to tell me that it is nothing (my DH is convinced I'm crazy) Every time I bend down, tilt my head etc I get dizzy. I'm hoping it goes away soon. I still have a slight headache and that isn't helping. I am going to give it until the weekend and if I'm not feeling better, I will have to call the doctor next week. Food has been very good despite not working out and my DH's constantly buying chocolate. He has eaten 5 candy bars in the last 4 days. I swear he has suddenly grown a vagina and ovaries LOL I am only up 1 lb thanks to AF.

The pizza party was fun last night, got to love the odd looks as I pull out the GF pizza I brought Smile The kids had a good time and then it was home for homework and bed. Poor Lucas was miserable, he has a very swollen gum from a molar trying to pop through, that at least explains why he hasn't been sleeping well. I got in about 20 min of X10 Fat Burning when Lucas started screaming so I fed him more and cuddled a bit before putting him to bed. I worked on some chores around the house and made cookies since I'm in charge of dessert on Saturday and I figured I'd make our friend's favorites (ginger snap cookie sandwiches). I was able to get some stuff done this morning before the kids were up (laundry away and clean the bathroom) and tonight I'll wrap up the cookies and get a few other chores done after I do my Tabatacise workout, fun!

I think part of my headache stemmed from hitting my temple hard on my car door frame when I was trying to pull some bags out of the car. It's pretty sore still but at least the headaches gone.

Amy - It would be awesome to live that close to Legoland, I know my kids would be all over it. Great plan on getting a years pass.

Mandie - The DOMS from STEP, love it! I really enjoy STEP workouts. Enjoy your yoga today.

Dawn - Dave is a huge candy bar fan and keeps buying it - it's crazy but at least he has a fast metabolism. Great job staying on track with food! Definitely get checked out if you're still dizzy, better to be on the safe side.

Cindy
