Well, we went back to the dermatologist today and met with the PA and the doctor. The doctor was very nice but only had to look at the mole for a second to decide that it didn't look good and needed to be biopsied. Alana did really well during the procedure and only cried a little bit. She was super nervous but the PA was great and talked her through the whole thing. I absolutely love this lady and she is so good with Alana, really talking to her and being upfront and honest. She said we should get the results by next Monday and I'm pretty optimistic. She prepared me that there is a good chance it isn't benign and that she'll be referring us elsewhere for more treatment. Like I said, I'm staying optimistic. It didn't help though that on our way out a nurse pointed at Alana and whispered to the PA, "Is that her?"
On a really positive note she only had to have 2 warts treated because the rest were gone! The remaining 2 were very small and will hopefully be gone by the next appointment in 2 weeks. Alana isn't in any pain right now and she thinks it is pretty cool she has a chunk of hair missing, lol.
