Just was wondering how Isaiah is doing. Sending lots of prayers for you all. I know you are busy, so update when you can.
I hope he's doing better.
Sorry I haven't updated. He's home from the hospital. He's not doing great, but making some progress. He's been pretty constipated since his surgery. We haven't had a whole lot of luck with colace, senokot, miralax, MOM or prune juice. He's had to have 4 suppositories so far and doesn't seem to be able to go on his own. He's also on IV antibiotics for 6 weeks, 3 times a day. As I type this, he is lying in bed and totally out of control (flailing, grunting, muscle spasms, etc.) I can't get him to calm down. The nurse doesn't come in until 10:30, then at least I will get some rest. Usually he goes to sleep once he gets his 11 pm meds. I wish he would go to sleep sooner, though. The less sleep he gets at night, the more trouble he has during the day. On the up side, he's been doing very well for the in-home teacher/tutor and the speech therapist. He also went to school for awhile today to enjoy the Valentine's party. I suspect that's why he isn't sleeping - just too excited.
I'm so sorry he's not doing better. Continuing to pray for you all.
Thanks. We're trying to get a GI appointment to see if they can help us figure out why his intestines have slowed down so much and what to do about it.
I hope they can get you in soon and give you some answers.
They had a cancellation on Monday, so we will be able to take him in then, which is awesome, because the next available was March 27.
That's awesome they got you in so soon. Make sure to let us know what they say.
(((hugs))) I hope they can help you figure it out.
Thinking of you an Isaiah at his appointment.
Hope you get some answers or at least a path forward.
