    Default Event Monitor

Eli is getting another event monitor to wear because he's having more and more issues with getting cold clammy and sweaty and getting lethargic to the point of almost passing out. If you ladies could send out some prayers that the episodes show up on it so they can "see" what is going on I would greatly appreciate it.

How long before you should know something? The waiting is always the worst part for me. I hope you get some answers and that poor Eli can catch a break.

I'm not sure. He has to wear it for a month. However, I need to have him have an issue so I can push the button so they can get the information. It's not a continuous monitor (Holtor). I was told by the nurse that those are the only two options which is why originally said no to it (other heart mom's said do it, it can't hurt and I could get lucky and catch whatever it is). A friend compared it to an EEG. Just because an EEG doesn't show seizure activity doesn't mean that a person isn't having them, it just means they didn't have any seizures at that exact moment. This is the same type of thing. He could be having arrithymia problems just not at the time I'm pushing the button. I'm just afraid I won't get lucky. I would assume (and I could be completely incorrect) that if he had an obvious issue when I pushed the button that the company would let his dr know ASAP and we could develope a plan of action.

I will let you all know. I talk to the cardio more Monday about it since he has a regular cardio appt. I'm going to ask him if he wants me to push the button after activity because I see issues there as well, but I can correlate it to activity. I'm more worried about the times he's doing nothing.
