    Default Pulmo Appointment Today

The girls went to the Pulmo today and it was a pretty good visit. Madi is doing well on her medicine and her PFT results were normal.

Alana's results were normal too but she is going to start a new nasal spray for her nose congestion. She will continue taking Nasonex but this new one is specifically for allergies. The doctor also scolded me for not bringing her in when she had the asthma attack 2 weeks ago. I thought Albuterol was sufficient to treat it but he wants to put her on a steroid if it happens again. I truly hate all the medicines she has to take. She's on 5 now and 6 if she needs to use her rescue inhaler. A steroid would make 7!

The doctor gave me a bag FULL of samples and that always makes me happy! I feel like I am walking out of the office hundreds of dollars richer! lol

Glad there appts went well. You sound like you could open your own pharmacy Prayers it doesn't happen again so you don't have to add the steroid.

Figures....days after the appointment Alana is having problems with the asthma again. Her newest complaint is that she gets dizzy when she feels out of breath. I hate that she feels this way and it limits what she is able to do. She wants to be as active as possible but she gets tired out too easily.

I wanted to give it another day or two before calling the doctor. Adding another medicine just makes my stomach turn. Alana on steroids is not a pretty sight. She bounces off the walls and talks non-stop and I can't see that going over too well at school. And she eats constantly, never feeling full and drives herself crazy only thinking about food. Hopefully another day or so of Albuterol will help and she won't need the steroid. Stupid asthma.

Well prayers you just need a day or two for the one to work so you don't need them. She sort of sounds like Dakota on a normal day. (minus the food thing, I'd be happy if he ate and ate and ate)
