Heath's sleep study is tonight. We are checking we are checking to see if the surgery improved things or not. Pray for an easy night the last few times he had a hard time falling asleep and kept pulling off all the wires.
This time I told the tech what we needed to make the night go better. Like the things Heath was ok with and the things he hates. Also told them that he moves so much that they have to wrap his head to keep them on, they NEVER want to do this and then we end up having to redue the wires in the middle of the night. Lucky for me the last tech had writen about how the first 2 hours where a lost because of the wires having to be redone and how she wrapped it up for the rest of the night, so last night he just did it the first time.
So last night Heath let him put all the wires on him while we fed him fruit and crackers. I even have some cute pics of him smiling as he is getting the "stickers" on. He fell asleep nursing at 9:30 without the pluse ox on his toe or the thing under his nose. At about 10 the tech came back in and put the pluse ox on him and he stayed asleep, it took a few tries because he kept stiring to get the nose thing on. Then he slept until 11:30. When he woke up screaming and it took me a good 30 min to get him back down. He was mad about the pluse ox and took the nose thing off. But the tech kept comming in and trying to put the nose thing back on him before he was in REM sleep and it woke him up every time!!! At 1pm I was like LOOK I'm tired of you waking him because then your not getting any data and your keeping us all up. Let him sleep a bit and when I think he is asleep I'll put it on him. I got it back on him at 2:30 and he stayed asleep until 5:15 when they came in and said they had the data they needed and sent us home.
We go back to the ENT on July 14th for results. But we saw ENT today for the A&T post op visit and he was not to happy when I told him Heath was still snoring even after the surgery. He is all healed and no swelling so that's not it. He gave us the all clear for swimming with out ear plugs and anything else he wants to do at this point other then swim in a lake/ocean.

I'm glad you know what works. I didn't even think about the wrapping part. I know they did for Dakota, but he was younger than Eli. The picture they showed Eli on Tuesday didn't have the childs head wrapped. I'll be making sure they do. I'll also need to do play therapy with the nose thing (they gave us one when he was in the hospital last). Play therapy always helps Eli. Glad the tech didn't come back in after you told them how it was going to be. Sometimes the just don't think us moms know what we are doing.
