WElcome to your lodge and I love your wedding pictures!!!!! Being informed (like you are) is the best way to get the birth that you want. I learned that the hard way.

Yea! Congrats on your lodge!! Beautiful wedding pics. Hopefully you will be able to slow down and fully enjoy these last few weeks. I'm still "working" but it's pretty easy since I can sit down most the day. I couldn't imagine if I had to do too much.

    37 week appointment

I had my 37 week appointment today. I measured smaller than last week so that confirmed what I already figured out - that baby has dropped!

I'm up 22 pounds total so looking good there.

The best news is that I'm GBS-. Hooray!! I was convinced I was going to be positive. I guess that concoction of probiotics, garlic, Vitamin C and echinceau did the trick So one less fight or compromise at the hospital. It should be much easier to get avoid an IV now.

My BP is up a bit (posted a couple of questions on another thread about that).

I've got to cut my work hours since I think that the rising BP is tied directly to my work stress. I just feel bad b/c the 2 women that are taking on my responsibilities are already drowning in their own work. But I keep telling myself that my maternity leave is not a surprise to my manager and it's their own fault b/c they knew this day was coming. Still...this won't be a fun conversation

Blah...But I've really loved being pregnant. Still loving it, in fact. I really can't wait to meet this baby though!

Welcome to your lodge! Your wedding gown is gorgeous.

Enjoy your mat leave and yeah, don't stress over others' poor planning.

So I'm working part-time now until my due date. Today is my first day at part-time status I'm enjoying my afternoon off!

The weekend was good but busy. We went swimming in the neighborhood pool - it was great to feel weightless, even for a short time.

On Saturday, we had our second to last Lamaze class with our doula. It was very informative. Then we stayed afterward to talk to her about our birth plan. It's about done. I really like our doula and am looking forward to labor!

I'm feeling pretty good overall. Definitely some soreness down in the pelvic area. I guess from the baby's head pushing down? Also lots of Braxton-Hicks and an occasionally shooting pain when the baby bumps up against my cervix. My DH laughs b/c it literally causes me to jump!

So things are progressing Last week I was thinking that this babe wouldn't last until the due date but now I'm back to convinced that we'll be post due date. I'm trying to be patient but I'm so excited that it's hard.

I'm having a slight inclination to nest but it could just be my usual obsession with cleanliness returning. It disappeared about 3 month ago! Who knows?
