Maggie - You are not a bad birth buddy- LOL! I am! I actually tried to call you and my phone was dead before I could leave the message and I had the charger for my computer and mp3 player but not my phone!
We are home- YAY!!! We actually got home last night about 10 pm. They only kept us 32 hours after the birth. (We were just waiting for Ian to pee following his circumcision.) I am still trying to nail down details and get my flow sheets from the hospital to see a time line. I was in a daze and really mellow!!! I highly recommend HypnoBabies!!!!!!
We went out for tepanyaki today and then dropped by the doc for a quick weight and color (bili) check. He was down a full pound to 6 lbs 2 oz, but my milk is in so I am assuming that is steadily going back up. His color is beautiful! I will try to post pics later. For now, I've gotta go nurse my squallering baby.
glad to hear you are home, hope he starts gaining for you. I am also glad to hear that the Hypnobabies worked well for you.

Ugh! I am still working on my birth story (I can't believe I am not done already, but. . . there you go!)
We took Ian to his checkup yesterday. He is up to 7lbs 10 oz! That is quite an improvement over a week ago! He is nursing like champ and already starting to cluster feed at night so he can sleep 5-6 hours. I am waking him up because I am miserable after going that long!!! I cannot quite believe how much better this recovery has been. Perhaps the difference is only having one stitch and having a little longer labor? So I am feeling pretty good, but it is weird having all this bleeding this time around. I had basically none with DD because they scraped me clean. Now every time I start doing something too active (cleaning my whole house after having all the family here ) my bleeding picks up again. The doc assures me this is normal but it is my least favorite part of the whole L&D thing!!!! Well, maybe second to having the doctor trying to turn the baby.
Molly went up to visit our families in OK for a few days, so I will try to get my story posted!!!!
Ugh I totally understand about the bleeding! After I had Ethan I bled for a solid month My OB said it was fine because the flow got gradually lighter. I was so sick of wearing diapers! Then AF came back 2 months after the other bleeding stopped...
Can't wait to hear the birth story! You need to update your siggy when you get time
Sorry about the bleeding, not the most fun side affect of birth. I'm glad your doing well though, and I hope DD has a blast visiting the family!
