I'm a little late, but congrats on the birth of your son. I took tylenol and advil after my section too and as long as you stay on top of the dosing rotation, it does an ok job, and you don't feel drowsy with it. I hope breastfeeding gets easier for you (and if you stick with it, it will. I promise.) Keep going to that LC.
Well, things are going better here.
We've been at my parent's house for the last 4 days and my net access is limited.
The breastfeeding is going better - my milk came in and with nipple shields, he's taking to it well. (he's had issues latching b/c of engorgement and will only latch w/o them about 1/4 of the time -and only after lots of frustration and crying, so I just use them). I did call the LC on Saturday and today, too, and she is a HUGE help. Im finally starting to feel somewhat confident that I can handle this. It helps, too, that the c-section pain is getting better and my energy is coming back a bit - I was able to take a decent walk today without tiring out/hurting (not long, just about 2 blocks).
We are going home tomorrow and will see the pediatrician on Wednesday morning. Hopefully things will continue to go well.
It will be nice to get back home, too.
CONGRATS on the birth of your little man!!! GL with the breast feeding. I'm happy for you that it's picking up.
