Thanks for your welcome...I'm a long time lurker on this board and it's a strange feeling to have a lodge.

I'll do my best to start an introduction as DD is occupied for a bit...

Anyway....my name is Jules and I am 30 years old. I am married to Jimmy (30) and have a 19 month old DD Chloe with number 2 due in a couple of weeks!

I guess I'll start with how I met DH...we lived two doors away from each other in the halls of residence and met on my second day of university when we were 18/19 and have been together ever since. We married 6 years later and decided to go travelling overseas for our honeymoon and while we were away I was offered a job in New Zealand. Having fallen in love with the lifestyle and country here we went back home and moved out permanently to NZ 3 months later (bit of a shock to our families ) and we have loved it here! There's no plans on moving back and we now see New Zealand as our permanent home....We live in a small town next to the beach and thoroughly enjoy the "outdoors" and freedom / opportunities that we and our children will have here.

Will add a bit more in a while...DD has a short attention span

That is so cool that you moved to new zealand after going there as part of your honeymoon! My mil is from Tahiti and she has some family also in new zealand and she went to boarding school there. her school recently closed and she went back for that.

    Hey Kiwi babe
where in NZ are you? I'm a kiwi but live in sydney now, manage to get home 2-3 times a year. I miss my family there but my mum comes over a few times a year also so between the two of us traveling we see each other a fair bit.

    Hi,
I live in the Bay of Plenty....we travelled all over New Zealand and I was offered a few jobs while I was out here (I think 5??) but we figured that if we were making a life changing move that we would go for a "lifestyle" location rather than a city as we could have the "city lifestyle" back home, and also we chose somewhere with good weather and it just seemed right here!

Forgot to say that we are actually from the UK

Yes, we decided that we didn't want to have any regrets in life...and I couldn't go through wondering whether we should have tried it / where would we be now thing as I was offered a job! I am so glad we took the risk and we haven't got the "what ifs..."

Just going to pop down to the town to get the car seat fitted (otherwise it will never be done!!) but will be back later to finish my intro
