Last day with kids today at work... DS started a cough that sounds horrible almost like a bark. I may have to take a half day today to get him into the doctors office. My tail bone is the part of me that hurts the most at this point. I'm going to try to take it easy today.
For those of you birthing at home. What do you have prepared for yourself for postpartum? I feel like I'm missing something.
Lots of teachers here! So great to live in such a peaceful place - it sounds like a wonderful place to give birth! I hope your DS feels better soon and you can avoid getting whatever he has! Happy last day of work!
I'm not sure what you mean... Maybe this will help? What do you have prepared for yourself for postpartum? I feel like I'm missing something.
Midwives usually meet with Moms and their infants for 6 weeks or so after delivery. They can help with any questions about bleeding, cramping, pain of any kind. You see a pediatrician as well...or whatever you choose to do for follow up. Perhaps you visit a lactation consultant too.

Postpartum I meant like supplies....I have mommy pads, tucks just in case, nursing pads, peri-bottle. I feel like I'm forgetting something though.
DS has croup. He sounds awful. I'm going to stay home with him tomorrow. DH is off Th. and Fri., so I can go back to work those last two days to help move my classroom.
Congrats on being GBS negative! That is great news!
