I keep starting this and then getting sidetracked. LOL! Life with four children, I suppose.
Simon had his two week old check up on Tuesday...I can't believe how fast this time if going by! He's a sweet baby and pretty quiet when he's not hungry.
Midwife was very pleased with him. He weighed in at 10lbs 7.5oz!!! Just when most babies are getting back to their birthweight, my Fatman is more than a pound heavier. It makes sense though because he nurses constantly. I rarely get more than 1.5 hours of sleep out of him in a row because he's always waking to eat. I don't mind though...and he does take a soother to help relieve some of my soreness from so much nursing.
He does have a bit of a diaper rash though. I tried vaseline and zinc oxide cream but they didn't help. I switched to cloth for a couple days and that didn't help. Now I'm thinking the polka dots on the edge of the rash mean yeast, so we're using nystatin twice a day now and A&D ointment on the inbetweens...changing every hour and no more than two hours. I'm hoping to see a change because his poor bum is so red and angry looking. It's not blistery or weepy yet and I'd like to avoid that.
He's getting some lovely chub though!! I'll post a pic....
He fell asleep on my knees the other day.
Also, on Monday he got to meet his new cousin, Will! Will is so cute...such a chill little guy. Will weighed in at 7.15 on Monday night and Simon at 10.7 on Tuesday...so this is what a 2.5lb difference looks like in babies born 35 hours apart:
And here is me, snuggling my new sweet boy and my new sweet nephew!
Yesterday Leo came for a snuggle while Simon was napping on me...so I had to get a pic of the snuggles with my two youngest boys too.
And I like Leo's curls!

Poor guy with the rash. Hope it clears up soon. Loving all the pics! That is crazy the difference in 2.5lbs! How neat that they will grow up together and be literally hours apart in age.
