Mmmm, sushi! Love it!
Pics of the kids are so cute! I think I would want the warm compress but the cold one totally makes better sense. Thats a tough choice. Yay to having some progress starting up.

Your guppies are adorable! I don't have personal experience with hemis (or labor for that matter....yet) but I'd want both options on hand. If my birth center doesn't have them, I'm packing a few hot/cold packs that can be microwaved or frozen in my birth bag, not to use as perineal compresses but to have on hand to use on other body parts (back/head/neck). To make a soft cold compress for your perineum (or bottom), do you just wet a cloth and stick it in the freezer? What do you do to make a warm one, stick them in a crock pot?
I use a crockpot with a bunch of facecloths for hot compresses. I loved the hot compresses with Leo's birth!! I can't say that enough. LOL.
My only concern is that pushing will probably be FAST. I think there will only be time to 'try' one kind of compress which is why I'm trying to figure what would be best? Come to think of it, running to the freezer to get an icepack might take too long, if this baby is like my last two. I'm askeered for my bummer.
Em, what about having a couple of facecloths in a bowl of ice water along with the crockpot? Then we won't need to worry about running to the freezer.
OMG Emily, Leo's smile is soooo adorable!!! And your daughter IS gorgeous! I'm askeered for your bummy, too. I'd say definitely the cold compress and Arty's idea about the facecloths in the bowl of ice water is a good one. You could have a cold one on the bum and and a warm one on the vag and you'll have all sorts of crazy sensations! Whee! It'll be a party down there!
