Today marks four weeks since Tehani's birth. I can't believe my baby is already a month old!
The crazy cluster feeding seems to be stopping, though she's eating more often during the day now, which is probably good. However, the being awake from 2:00 am to 4:00 am has not changed.
Today I had my "6 week" postpartum appointment. My bleeding slowed to spotting a couple weeks ago, but last week I had a couple little clots that had some grayish parts to it that was kind of strange to me. On Sunday, I went back to a more constant red bleeding but when I remembered I had my appointment today I figured I'd just wait to ask about it. Mindy said that it might just be the return of AF, which would really weird to me since I am breastfeeding and I also have not had AF show up without the help of BC pills or Provera since the summer of 2005 (I have PCOS and we concieved Tehani my first cycle on metformin) but when I mentioned clots with gray matter in them, she gave me a prescription for methergine, as a precautionary measure, to get my uterus to contract in case there is anything that needs to be gotten rid of in there. She said if the bleeding hasn't stopped in a week or so that I need to come back in and have a u/s to check for anything left behind from the birth. However, she thinks that if there was a problem, she would have expected me to have symptoms before now.
