I'm so sorry you're dealing with this pressure! I hope you can find a way to relax. It sounds like you need to go out for a pedicure or something to pamper yourself! Fingers crossed that your appointment tomorrow goes great!

Well... life seems eager to kick me while I'm down!

Yesterday due to a clerical error... our natural gas got shut off, which in spring/summer is not a huge deal except of course that our hot water is run on natural gas! So after HOURS of screaming, crying and begging they got it sorted out and this morning we were back online *sigh*

Also, because of a silly computer glitch I didn't get an ultrasound until today! (just got home) The reassuring bit is that baby scored 8/8 and is perfect and healthy and wonderful in his little home. (and yes FOR SURE a boy... we triple checked)

Scary bit... He's measuring 9+ lbs and with a head of 36.5cm.... that is terrifying to say the least. And while we know that the measurements can be off.. still!!!!

Even more irritating, three June mommies in the midwives practice went into labor today so they had to cancel my appointment because they wouldn't be able to offer me the stretch and sweep or verbania with all the midwives out dealing with birthing mommas! I know I should just chillax and enjoy the rest of my day but I'm really REALLY REALLY wanting to throw myself onto the ground and kick and scream like a four year old having a temper tantrum!

I am scheduled for 8:40am tomorrow morning, because really with my dates getting closer and closer to 42 weeks they want to try everything gentle that they can before having to turn me over to OB care for a chemical induction. So fingers crossed I'll be able to get a good nights sleep tonight and wake up refreshed and ready and get stuff moving super early... And of course hope to all heck that hubby's job tomorrow morning is a short one! *sigh*

Seriously, someone upstairs heard this was my last child and is determined to make it as long a process as possible!!! *headdesk*

I am really sorry! Would you consider trying some stuff on your own like cohosh or nip stimulation?

Tried both and sadly nothing! I figured the Cohosh would have regulated my contractions and made them actually go somewhere, but mostly they just got painful then stopped! Of the mommies in my centering group 5 went post dates and were given the "magic shake"... all 5 had their babies within 24 hours of drinking the shake. I'm hoping since I'll have it first thing tomorrow morning I'll be holding my little guy by tomorrow night! Being already a 3 (as of last week) and almost completely effaced...with a history of quick births (after issues are sorted out) I don't expect to be laboring long once my body kicks into doing what its supposed to.

And a total aside... if one more person says "Oh well it just means baby is not ready..." COME ON! He's over 8lbs and scored so high on the breath test today that they were astounded he's still inside! Both the doc and ultrasound tech said breathing here and there is normal but he's consistently breathing without break... a sign he should be outside already! They then both advised me to switch to OB care and go for an induction right now LOL I said I'll live waiting for 8am tomorrow :P especially since I'll get to keep my midwives that way.

WOW! What a roller coaster! I hope you get lots of rest today/tonight and everything works out beautifully tomorrow. Can't wait to hear updates!!

Ask what's in that shake tomorrow when you drink it...that might be a handy little recipe for the rest of us!!

Oh gosh, I know how frustrating it is to go so far. Glad to hear your little guy is still doing well in there, that's a good thing. Maybe try a little tonight to help along the midwives' efforts? Also give the other things another try, can't hurt, might help...
