Well, dont get TOO excited, yet......
DTD at like 8:30 and by 10 when i went to bed i got DH to get my rice bag because i was uncomfortable. nodded off around 11, DD woke me up (i had her sleeping in her bed, she crawled in with me) at nearly midnight and i couldnt even move because i was in pain, felt like my whole back, hips and belly were locked in a contraction. shuffled to the microwave to reheat the ricebag. called DH (he was out) he came home. Been timing contractions since about midnight, called sitters for DD who took her home with them, figured if this turns out to be another false alarm she had a nice sleepover at least. told them we'd call in the morning.
even though the contractions have yet to stop completely, they keep spacing out, then getting closer together, and i don't want to show up feeling like i'm half in labor and deal with them wanting to augment or give me an Ambien and get me to sleep for thenight like they did with DD. these are not nearly as strong as the ones i remember after my water broke with DD, and i guess i'm comparing to those because it went fast at that point.
i'm GBS- so i know i dont need to show up early, and i half don't want to know who's on call at the hospital right now anyway, and i third don't know what they would want me to do besides walk the halls or try an intervention like breaking my water, and i can walk in circles here (granted my floor is messier)
DH fell asleep in his chair, so i'm just going to sit here and time some more, and endeavor to make this work by 5 AM so i can call the on call OB at a really annoying time![]()
I feel for ya! I had about 5 of these incidents with Sebastien before I knew it was 'real' labour!! It's so awful not knowing. This time, I'm ignoring everything until either my water breaks or there's a head comin out of my junk.
I hope it picks up for you and that the next time it's' 'it'!

Thats what i keep telling myself Manda, but i guess i dont actually have the patience for it. i'm going crazy!
DD was so well behaved, this is all new to me! she kinda came on her own at 38 weeks so IDK what to do! actually, she came after i had a bout like that one night, then went to the hospital where it died out, but they kept me (because the OB didnt want me to go home and ruin his plans for the next night i'm sure now) and then in the morning offered to break my water... i wasnt in labor AT ALL and dilated to 6-7 that morning, so i should totally be calmer about this.... anyway, i let them break my water and DD less than 5 hrs later!
oh, and just FYI, DH left his top dresser drawer open and i hit my elbow/funnybone on it and it hurts. just wanted to share.
Oh Jenni, I'm so sorry this is just dragging and dragging for you. You have to be getting so close!
Darn DH and his dresser drawer!
