don't worry about the circ and explaining later. DH is and his younger brother isn't. I've asked him about it and it never bothered them at all. Although, he did say he remembers gloating a little that he didn't need the hygiene lessons that his parents gave his brother during bathtime.
ETA: It's got to be easier than explaining the difference between a brother and a sister, right?![]()

I feel your pain - I'm just glad I'm having a girl this time so I don't have to worry about it - cause I would be tempted to do it just because DH and DS are. You'll make the right choice and feel good about it.
How annoying that they couldn't process your swab - hopefully you'll get your results soon. Don't know too much about the probiotics but I've been eating yogurt everyday lately just in case.

That stinks about the GBS. And seriously don't worry about having to explain it to them. My step son is circ'd, my son is not and it has never ever been an issue and dss is almost 8.

We're in the same boat. DS is and I didn't want it, but I left the decision up to DH. He totally regrets it now and has already said if this one is a boy, we are not doing it. I am more worried about if it's brothers who are different than I ever was about father/son being different. But, we will just communicate and tell them that we became better informed after DS.
38 week appointment today... uneventful, as usual! I do NOT feel like I am going to have a baby any time soon! The only thing that's different is the last day, I have had a lot more bladder pressure and sharp pains in my pubic bone. Last night I think I peed at least 10 times, and its usually only 2 or 3. But no cramps or anything!
Good news is, I'm negative for GBS- woot! So no worrying about an IV or yeast infections.
And yesterday, we finally ordered baby furniture for his room...lol! Long story about why we waited so long to do that... MIL had said months ago that she wanted to buy our furniture for us, even though we had the money to do it at the time and the furniture we want is expensive. She wasn't able to do it until January, she said, because of when she'd get paid. Ok, the baby doesn't *need* it right away anyway since he'll sleep in our room for the first few months. Then, she started talking to us about her furniture set growing up and how she could give that to us instead and we'd just find a crib to match. I wasn't sure how to handle her offer; I appreciated it of course but we'd already had a couple sets in mind; plus it really sounded like she was trying to back out because she said it would be easier on her not to have to spend as much money. Well, you're the one who insisted on buying it even though we told you how much it cost... Well, then my dad decided he wanted to help too. Unknown to me, he called MIL to talk to her about it, and I guess she didn't have the money for it yet... don't know what all they talked about but my dad felt bad so he decided to send us money to buy it! Needless to say I'm thrilledI also kind of feel bad, but we never asked or even hinted to anyone to buy the stuff for us... we fully intended to buy it ourselves, from the beginning. But, I'm certainly thankful they did. Anyway, we got the Baby Cache Bliss collection, in espresso- I love the dark wood! My dad had splurged for us for Kieran too and got us the Baby Cache Heritage collection. Since Kieran has such nice new furniture, we wanted to get nice new furniture for Rowan too; I didn't feel like it would be fair to get him random hand-me-down stuff when his big brother has all the nice new stuff

yay for GBS neg. and for furniture! don't worry if baby comes before the furniture. the day I went into labor with nathan, I got the email alert from walmart site to store shipping that our glider/ottoman was in...ended up at the hospital that night. so when my parents were there after we got out of the hospital, my dad and DH picked it up and put it together. like you said, baby won't need the crib and such right away...but it would be nice to have everything ready and not have to worry about it!
The set is beautiful! And congrats on the GBS!
I can't wait for you LO to get here!
