I've been dealing with some post partum issues. I passed a large clot last night about the size of the palm of my hand. Had to go get checked out at the hospital. There was no active bleeding, so I was sent home with orders to come back in today for an ultrasound.
Ultrasound revealed a clot still in my uterus. Luckily it isn't big enough to warrant a D&C, the doctor thinkgs it should pass on its own. I just have to be on the look out for heavy bleeding, and signs of infection.

Bennett is too cute!! Sounds like a lovely birth and that your providers knew exactly how to use the tools at their disposal. Just enough pit to get the contractions moving without overdoing it. Good job, Mamma!
Stinks about the clot, though I think they are more normal than not. I passed a clot 6 weeks PP after DS and the OB shrugged and asked if the bleeding had stopped. It had, so he said there was nothing to worry about. Did they give you signs to keep an eye on for problems? I would imagine pain, fever or uncontrolled bleeding, but did they give you any other instructions?
