well my first patient of the day, I knew wouldn't be here b/c they are discharged. my second patient of the day cancelled just have to do the new patient evaluation, which I started typing up ahead of time so I can just fill in stuff once I see him. And it is supposed to snow this afternoon/evening, so we are hoping for some cancellations this afternoon (got my fingers crossed!)

I ended up lasting the whole day at work yesterday with the few cancellations we had and my replacement helping out with the afternoon kiddos. Unfortunately, the snow came down FAST yesterday evening...so it was a long, interesting drive home. Not sure if it just came down so fast that the crews couldn't keep up with it or b/c it was during rush hour that it started getting bad or what??? But I left at 6:30 and it took longer than usual...and let me say people around here need to learn to drive in the snow. You would think people in western pennsylvania would have driving in the snow figured out, but no. I have all wheel drive and use caution...but people going like 5 mph UP a hill need to realize that is not the way to go unless you want to get stuck! I didn't see anyone stuck, but up a big hill I was worried with how slow we were going. UGH!
When I got home, I was crampy/contracting on and off, but thankfully nothing deveoped into labor. As much as I am ready to meet this little man, the roads were horrible last night, and the snow just kept coming fast. So the in laws (who are watching DS) would not have made it here very fast, and then DH and I would have had a long trip into the birth center. So, thumbs up on holding out little guy
TMI... this morning it was farewell to the old mucus plug. I know that can happen and labor not start for a while, but I am hopeful. With DS I lost the plug Friday or Saturday night (I forget) and went into labor Monday night. Fingers crossed Baby also looks lower. In any case, signs of forward progress!
Yay for progress! Glad you didn't have to drive to the birth center in the snow... I'm sure that would have been stressful. We got some snow here, as well. We don't get much in TN, so everyone completely freaks out about it. I grew up in the north, so I'm still just amazed that they cancel school for only an inch or two!
Progress is good, even if it is just the mucous plug

Oooh, sounds like things are definitely getting ready for you- that's so exciting! I agree, hopefully when it happens it won't be in a snow storm like that!
