Thanks! Cidney and I are both doing well. We had a slow start to nursing, but I guess that's totally normal. He's really starting to catch on -nursing for 30-45mins. at a time now! Yay!

He was born head first, no hand sticking out at all And my midwife says that my dates must have been a bit off. She thinks he was closer to 39weeks, not 40w5d. I think mostly because of the vernix (the white stuff).

I have placenta in the oven right now. They'll be back on Monday to finish encapsulating it. My friends all think I'm a weirdo hippie! LOL I think that's great!
Love, love, loving cloth diapers and wipes!!

Kids are doing fairly well with their new baby brother. DD is such a little mommy! She's so good with Cidney. But DS is really not too happy about it all. He misses his mom. He's so used to getting almost all of my attention. I think that and the fact that during the birth, he woke up and watched me push the baby out -totally out of my control. I did not want him to see (or hear) that, but I didn't even know that he was watching until it was all over with. So that may have scared him a bit, to wake up to mom making animal-like sounds.

Here's another picture. Its actually my favorite of the ones on my camera -my midwife took a bunch too and is going to send them to me ASAP.

Aww poor ds. It will be hard on him for awhile, but he will get used to it. I am glad nursing is going better. The pics are great!

I took Cidney for his first checkup today. That was interesting. Doc wasn't too happy with me delivering at home (even though he knew in advance). It sort of went like this:
Did they (the midwife) do the newborn screening?
    Yes.
    Hearing Test?
    No.
    Vit. K?
    No.
    Hep B?
    No.
    Eye Ointment?
    No.
    Cicrumcision?
    No.

LOL Not the answers he was hoping for! And it was funny watching him try and get Cidney's cloth diaper off. He couldn't figure the snappi out.
But he's starting to gain weight now. Sunday night, when the midwife came to check on him, he had dropped to 6lb,4oz. And today he was 6lb,10oz! Yay.

The doctor's reaction made me laugh, especially about the diaper.

    Congratulations on a great birth!

DS's face in that picture says it all - doesn't look to pleased!

    Congrats again!
