Having lots of pressure and starting to have regular contractions too. I feel like it may be that time.

I'm laying in bed resting. I will update as soon I figure out what's going on.
I was having contractions 5-7 minutes apart for a few hours last night. I went to sleep, thinking that if it were the real thing, I wouldn't be able to sleep through them. I had a few off and on throughout the rest of the night, but they fizzled out and all is well.
I definitely feel like it is going to be soon though. Sometime within the next couple of days.
Oh gosh! I didn't add any pictures of my births or pregnancy with DS.
Here is a picture of me when I was 8 months pregnant with DS and then his birth.
I had some good photography connections before I had children. And then when I gained 60lbs with DD, only lost half of it, then gained 28lbs more with DS, the photos started to not look as good. I lost my touch. That and I haven't had the chance to get out and get my hair done every week, like I was before kids. Momma's gonna get her groove back though, don't anyone worry!
Now back to the story.
Life with 2 babies (a 12 month old and a newborn) was stressful, chaotic, and oh so wonderful! I LOVE being a mom and my children are so great. We have so much fun together!
(That first picture there with me nursing DS and holding DD got deleted by myspace, once upon a time. LOL I suppose it was indecent)
So when DS was about 10 months old, I got pregnant with baby #3! I was still nursing him and totally planned on continuing and maybe even *gasp!* tandem nursing. I joked and told people that I would quit nursing when he grew a moustache!
But then when I was almost 3 months pregnant and he was just at 12 months old, I decided to wean him. My boobs were sore and I wasn't producing much milk, so I gave up.
I still feel bad about that. That boy loved to nurse and I loved it too. He still (at 19 months) likes to get held in "the position" and cuddled... And he still tries to stick his hand in my shirt and other people's too. I swear its not intentional, he doesn't even realize he's doing it.
Next post -this pregnancy. After that -this birth
Funny...I didn't even notice that you were bfing in that pic.(That first picture there with me nursing DS and holding DD got deleted by myspace, once upon a time. LOL I suppose it was indecent)
Sorry to hear that things fizzled out for you. Hopefully they will pick back up and you will be holding your LO soon!

Yay!! It sounds like your body is really gearing up! I prefer getting as much dilation out of the way as possible before labor starts. So keep rolling with those contractions and by the time it gets real hard you will already be halfway there!
Dh and I had gotten a little careless with our birth control methods, and we were pregnant again! The intial bloodwork showed high beta levels -I was so scared that it was going to be twins again. That's actually what brought me to Preg.Org I was stalking the multiples board. And sometime around then I started thinking about homebirth.
See, everyone I know has had the whole hospital/epidural/induction birth. And as far as I knew, that was just the way it was done. But then a friend's girlfriend had a water birth at home. And I thought to myself -People still do that? I thought she was crazy, until I got pregnant with #3 and started questioning why we do things the way we do.
Another thing that made me want to have a natural home birth is that fact that Dh doesn't want to have anymore babies after this. How could I have 3 children and not once experience what natural is like? I just had to see what it was like. So that was my agreement to Dh -let me have this birth (even though hospital/OB birth would be covered under insurance) and then we can stop having babies.
I made Dh watch the business of being born, and he was onboard! And especially after meeting with the midwife. We officially hired our midwife when I was 5 months pregnant. I am continuing to see my OB, simply because we do not live in a midwife-friendly state.
Again, this has been a great pregnancy. No morning sickness, swelling, or anything like that. But I was having some dizzy spells and feeling like I was going to pass out. My OB said "that's just part of pregnancy" (basically get over it). And my midwife put me on the Brewer Diet, which really helped!
And just like my other pregnancies, I've been having contractions off and on since about 6 months. I never told my OB and my midwife didn't seem concerned. So yay! I managed to stay off that horrible medicine and let my body do its thing naturally.
I had been looking into Hypnobabies for pain management. At 8 months, I finally decided to get it. I have really enjoyed it! And I think it has helped me stay calm and focused in other areas too, like with my children. So I am excited to use the techniques when its time!
My midwife is very pleased with how the pregnancy has gone, and I am too. We have our pool and all of our supplies. Our diapers and baby clothes are washed and ready to go. We're all set! Just waiting on baby to decide when to be born.
I'm drinking Red Raspberry Leaf Tea (3cups/day) and taking Evening Primrose Oil (2x/day and 1 capsule rubbed on cervix/day) to help things along their way. I was also taking this herbal stuff called L6W (last 6 weeks) that had blue cohosh and things like that, but I ran out of it and haven't gotten more yet -doubt I will, since its a blizzard out there!
We're planning a birthday party for my older kids (who are now 2.5 yr/o and 1.5yr/o). I thought it would be nice for them- to give them gifts (to keep them busy) and help them feel special.
And now for some pics!
We have: 5w4d, 6w4d, 11w, 18w3d, 22w, 25w3d... and the computer is acting up. So that's all you get for now!
I checked myself earlier and am definitely making progress! I'm not sure how much progress, but things are changing and opening up! Feeling lots of pressure. And I have to keep reminding myself not to tense up when I feel it. Deep breath -open, open, open...
I love all the pictures.
