See, going past your EDD has it's perks. What a nice, smooth, fast birth. Can't wait to see and hear all about it. So much for your mom's "big baby" theory...lol

Mr. Cidney Simms was born 2/17 @ 11:45pm. 6lb,14oz 19" long.
Contractions started around 3pm. I knew that they were different because I would get a horrible cramping in my hipswith each one. Midwife suggested we take a walk (since it is wonderfully warm outside!). So about 5:30, we took a family walk. That really made things move! Sometime around 8pm, my midwife checked me and I was at 7cm! *My mom came just before my midwife checked me and asked Dh if I was asleep! LOL* I hopped in the pool and labored, smiling between each contraction. Started feeling pushy, but didn't realize that's what it was, sometime around 11. Midwife told me to just go with it. Started really pushing about 11:30... 11:45 he was born!
It was an amazing experience. And yes, I DID IT! Just like I knew I could.
He's been nursing Ok, not fantastic, but well enough. And he's only cried once. He didn't cry at all throughout the early morning, when we were trying to sleep. I have pictures uploaded, but need to resize them all. So here are a few for now.
*Please don't mind the stray boobie.*
Oh and my mom told me that I was 1000X the woman she ever could be! And I told her "Well, duh! We all knew that!" LOL She was thoroughly impressed.
Congrats to you. I need to come back to read your story. Got to run to the chiro.
