Thanks. My m/w suggested some gravol tonight, which I think I might try. That or a big ol' glass of wine... I need SOMETHING, and chamomile tea just isn't cutting it at this point.
I use meditation and mindfulness during childbirth, and I'm TRYING to be mindful right now too, but it's totally kicking my @ss... I'm so tired of being such a complainer!

Yeah I think I'd go for something a bit stronger than chamomile tea too![]()
Little to no sleep & a busy uterus would make anyone a bit grumpy ~ your doing great! You should do something nice for you and your baby ~ maybe a bubble bath, or a nice massage if you can - or maybe have hubby rub something yummy & good smelling onto your feet while he gives you a foot massage![]()

I think I might go for some reiki on tues if she's not here yet. I work at a yoga studio, and one of my co-workers is also a reiki practitioner. She's working monday, but is off tues and would totally be willing to give me a nice alignment. Maybe that's all I'd need to kick start some things! If not, it should at least leave me feeling a bit rejeuvinated (sp?).
I've been having nice long, wonderful showers (I don't like baths... I think they're icky! lol! But getting to spend 20 minutes cocooned in sound and warm water, away from my kids with pretty smelling shampoos and soaps is my idea of heaven lately), but today that actually made the contrax pick up, so there goes THAT indulgence!
I'm thinking tonight I'm going to change the sheets on the bed to some nice crisp, expensive linens, have a glass of wine and read a book, snuggled under the covers all by myself, with no kids or dogs or distractions. Just some relaxing ME time. Hopefully that'll help.![]()

Reiki is wonderful. My MIL practices reiki & I miss having her close by so I can take advantage of it. Cranial sacral is another wonderful modality. I use it often in my massage practice, just wish I could do it on myselfI hope it works out & that your friend is able to work on you for a bit, if nothing else it's very relaxing & I'm sure will make you feel better.
I have to laugh - not at you but the situation. How unfair that the one thing you love & have easy access to brings ON contractions! I really do hope you have a nice evening, and what is it about nice new, cripsy clean sheets that make the world a better place?![]()

Thanks!I'd even take bringing on contractions, if it made them PRODUCTIVE ones.

Man that sucks that even showers don't help! Mind you, it might give you some time away from children which is has it's positive benefits.....I really hope that they turn into something constructive for you!
Oooohh, a glass of wine in bed with fresh sheets sounds bliss! DO THAT!!!

I would think crisp clean expensive linens would be invitation for a good breaking of the waters lol, Murphy's law right?
I'm a water person, showers, baths, pools, bring it on. my last few weeks I was soooo uncomfortable, and my back was soooo sore that standing in a shower hurt, I'd fill our ancient claw foot soaker tub and soak until the water turned tepid, it was glorious. When I was waiting for labour to kick in in the hospital and in dire pain from the Cervadil I passed out for 2 hours in the jacuzzi tub, dead asleep lol, DH had to come in between periods of the hockey game to refill the tub with hot water for me. Maybe you can try a nice bath, some nice soaps or salts may take the icky feeling away (I know, something about bathing in your own filth right? lol) or shower quickly and then soak in the tub? just throwing out some ideas.
