Hi! I'm still around. Just not posting much.
I had my 38 wk appointment yesterday. Everything's good. I dropped a couple centimeters down to 35cm, so that's good. Baby seems to be engaged most of the time if not all the time. My bp was better. Down to 120/80. I did gain three pounds, though. Ugh, I'm hoping everything from now on is water weight, lol. I'm very close to the 40 lb mark and I kind of hate it.
I got my hair cut and eyebrows waxed and I feel so much better. I think I'm getting a pedicure next weekend, woo hoo. Gotta be pretty in order to push a baby out, right?
Anyone ever have a contraction that caused nausea? I had a doozy the other night that stopped me in my tracks for 30-45 seconds. No pain though, just intense nausea.
I ask this baby every day to come out already. So far, no luck.
I got my water heater turned up a couple days ago. Should have more than enough hot water to fill the pool when we need it. Hopefully our gas bill won't go sky high. Gosh I can't wait.
Oh, funny story. I was talking to DH last night about birth day. He was asking if everything will take as long this time. I replied that I hoped my water wouldn't break before labor again. He was very confused. So, backstory. Owen was induced with AROM, labor kicked in a few hours later. My water broke with Grey, 30 hours later, labor kicked in.
So, all this time he has thought that's just how it works. I don't blame him, he would have no idea otherwise. He was under the impression that childbirth always starts with broken water, with active labor following. LOL. Boy was he surprised when I told him differently.
I'm sleeping okay, better than a couple weeks ago. Owen's spring break started today. Next week is going to be a long week.

No no nausea for me, but that sounds normal. It sounds like you are right on track though.

I had nausea when I first started labour but nothing before or during active labour.

I am only 16 weeks into this pg and I have already started the pedi's. Something to take the focus off my "are you pregnant or not" belly

I know I've gained more than I have wanted to each appointment. I'm pretty sure this week I will go over the 30+ mark. I know that's not 'bad' it's just been hard seeing 4 lb increases between 1 week appts. Boo!

I hear ya on the hair cut and eyebrows! I am SO jealous! I haven't had a hair cut in WAY too long. I can't have this baby without one! LOL! And my eyebrows... yep, they are due too!

As for nausea... I had that Saturday. I think it's fairly common with early labor contractions and changes. At least, that's what I try to tell myself. I was way nauseous with DD up until 5 or 6 cm. No fun. I hope you don't go through that again when labor does set in though.

How are you doing this week? Spring break for your son, right? Any plans?

Spring Break is going well so far. Monday we met some friends at a local inflatable play place. The kids had a blast so that's good. We haven't really left the house the last two days. I've been watching movies most of the time. But we need to get out tomorrow.
We're finally going to have a nice sunny day tomorrow so we'll go to the park. But first we have our weekly trip to my mom's house to visit, then we'll come back home for a midwife appointment.
I'm still feeling okay. My hips are hurting after doing pretty much anything. I think it's the leaning over I have to do for things like dishes, sweeping, laundry, cleaning. Ouch!
I'm a little sick right now. It's all in my sinuses. Sore and stuffy. It really only bothers me at night, which kinda sucks, but it could be worse. I'm hoping it doesn't get any worse and goes away soon.
I can't believe I'm 39 weeks today. I got our bed made today. with a plastic tablecloth under the red flannel sheets. This should be fine for both in case of water breaking and PP yuckiness.
Nothing else to do really. I'm only up a pound from last week, so I'm glad about that. Janice (mw) asks about my appetite at every appointment and I'm happy to say it's still very healthy. It seems like all I think about is food.
I'll try to get a picture taken tomorrow and update after my mw appointment. Thanks for reading!

Glad things are going well and you're staying busy. I know we've been pretty much homebound this week as well. Both by choice and situation (down to one car at the moment). But today we have lots to do out and about. Hope you have a good day and I'm looking forward to hearing about your MW appt!

    YAY for 39 weeks!!

I am glad you are getting out and getting things done!

I have never thought of a plastic tablecloth! I am going to copy that if you don't mind

It sounds like your 39 week appt went better than expected, yay for that!

I don't blame your dh for thinking all labors start with water breaking, that is how it happens in the movies, too!

I hope that baby makes it's grand entrance soon!

The plastic table cloth is a great idea! I'm sorry your hips are hurting. That was my biggest complaint last time too. I hope the weather has been sunny for you for the last few days so that your kids can wear themselves out outdoors while you relax.
