Contractions haven't been much different.... they're not very "regular" but DH insists that as soon as they become anything that we call the midwives. I told him if they're any less than 10 minutes apart for at least an hour then we'll call. I had 3 that were 8 minutes apart and that made him nervous (telling him that) but of course 20 minutes went by after the 3rd before I got another one.

We're all going to probably go to bed soon, we're watching Princess and the Frog (DD's choice) but DH informed me tonight that his vacation (2 weeks) begins tomorrow... so he'll be home so I'm hoping Brooke comes for the sake of him having the time off to actually bond as a family as opposed to just getting stuff done around the house and outside; plus it'd be nice to have the help for a good solid 2 weeks (or close to it) with DD if I have a newborn to take care of too.

I have realized though how much HypnoBabies has trained me. DH was asking about how the contractions felt and I just told him it was tightening but no pain. Then I realized that I feel pressure in addition to the tightening. He asked me to compare some of them to the contrax (pitocin) ones I got with DD and that's when I realized that I view it all as pressure and tightening and not "pain." He just makes fun of me over it though (my oh so loving and supportive husband ).

That is great news. Hopefully it won't be long now.

I had contractions throughout the night getting to be as close as 9 minutes apart basically from about 12:45am until 2am. I was sleeping and basically would wake up to the contrax then go back to sleep. Then had some more from 2:15am to 3:30am. I got a nice stretch of no contrax until almost 6:50am and I've been having them since then from what started to be every 9-10 minutes and now seems to be closer to 4-7 minutes apart..... not quite sure what the deal is with that, but I feel tremendous pressure and I feel like I have to go #2, but when I go sit on the toilet nothing happens.

.... contrax started .... They've gotta be heading into the 4-5 mins apart range... I guess I better call the midwife just to update her and see what she says. Hubby is sleeping and so is DD. I'm out in the living room on my birth ball on my knees leaning on it and it seems to help... since sitting on it isn't very comfy.

I called and she said that I sounded okay, haha.... I basically told her that I thought if they came up it would all stop so they're just going to wait until I call and really say I need them now! haha. She told me to make myself a nice breakfast (with tons of protein) -- but I'm not really hungry at all -- then go lay down and try and relax this morning.... looks like I'll be putting on my Hypno tracks this morning.

Anyways, that's the update... I keep getting pretty hard contrax every few mins but theyr'e suuuuper short. I feel like sitting on the toilet would be the only way to get through them... looks like my breakfast is short lived, it hurts to sit down. And of course, everyone is still sleeping over here.

FWIW I had a bunch of pressure mid-labor and it turned out it was my water bulging. I completely felt like I should be pushing even though I was only 7cm. So weird.

That I have to go #2 feeling is pressure from your baby and that is a good thing. Sitting on the toilet can really help because it relaxes your pelvic floor. Sounds like you are getting really close. Good luck!
