Time for an update
Things are going well, Brooke is sleeping well and will sleep a max of a 4 hour stretch, of course since we're co-sleeping I guess she doesn't really "wake up" to nurse at nighttime most times. The cloth diapering is going well, today when we were napping though we had an accident, luckily it was just pee but it got on the sheets and mattress protector so we had to change those out. The annoying part was when I put the diaper on I totally knew it was going to have an issue but still put it on her.
I'm doing okay, we went to Costco today to get some things and Brooke stayed in the sling (and slept) the whole time but for being such a quick trip I was pretty drained. I chalk it up to being my need to still recover from the blood loss, which is really sucky. I have all this "energy" to do stuff around the house but I find that I get out of breath and all tired from just walking from my bed to the living room.
The other day was a bit harder for me with nursing but it was due to the fact I wasn't paying much attention to Brooke's latch the day prior (for a few feedings) so my nipples were pretty sore. Plus I think with my milk coming in at the same time it didn't help out. Now though she's doing better with the latching, or I guess I'm doing better with the paying attention on it.
I took some more pictures today/tonight so I'll come back and post some.
Awwww, those are great pictures. What a happy big sister. And Brooke is beautiful! Sounds like things are going really well, minus the exhaustion, but I'm sure you will be up and running again soon. Has your midwife suggested anything to help get your blood count back up? Mine has me drinking chlorophyll to fend off anemia, it's supposed to help people with the formation of red blood cells.
awww too cute!

I bet your body needs so extra time to heal after that blood loss. I'm glad things are going well though.
Love the pics of your girls, so cute! That CD is so cute too, I love the print on it.

Callie is doing really well with Brooke. She calls her "my baby" or "my Brookie." The only issue we're having is she tries very hard (sometimes, not often) to be the center of attention, and it's usually when Brooke is sleeping and one of us is holding her. Very very rarely is it when Brooke is awake. I'm not sure if it's because I'm the one usually home the whole time with her taking care of her and now since DH is off of work he's been the one but it's nothing too bad.
I find myself feeling bad though every so often since I'm getting easily frustrated with Callie lately. I don't know if it's just a mix of being exhausted (since I'm the one getting up with Brooke whenever she wakes up) and not feeling 100% but I feel guilty about it.
My mom came up today and went to the grocery store (with a list of high in iron foods) and bought me a bunch of stuff so I can eat that and help up my iron levels -- since I cannot take the iron pills, they made Brooke inconsolable for a few hours the other night and since not taking them she's back to her normal self. I'm still taking my prenatals (that have over 100% DV of iron) so I'm hoping the extra boost will work.
In some other good news, since DH normally has Thanksgiving and the day after off he's probably going to be taking an extra 2 days off since he forgot about the 2 day holiday when he requested his time off. I really hope he decides to because then instead of going back to work Dec 1st, it'll be that following Monday. Callie has preschool on Wed/Fri and I'm not sure how I'm going to do with taking her (and Brooke) for the first time on Wednesday; if DH goes it'll be a lot smoother.
