Ooo, a pampering day sounds wonderful! Great prices too! Hope you get to enjoy some pampering time and that all those contractions pick up for you.

I'm back from the salon. It was really nice to do something for myself for once. Heck, my dogs get haircuts more often than I do! That's just not right. I was pleasantly surprised with my haircut, I didn't know what to expect with a student cutting my hair, but she did a good job. The whole thing took a LONG time though. My DH stayed home from work today for another "mental health day" so I didn't have to worry about finding childcare after all. I'll get DH to take a picture of me so you can see my hair, and my 39 week belly which is HUGE I think.
My contractions went for about 4 hours last night, but never got any closer than about 10 minutes apart, and never intensified. This is getting really frustrating. On the bright side, they're predicting this hurricane to hit the NC coast by tomorrow afternoon, so maybe if nothing else, that will do it.

Yay for pampering yourself! I've found that student will usually do a better job than even more experienced folks at cheap salons. Plus, if they screw it up it's usually pretty easy to get them to fix it!
I hope Earl decides to bring baby rain instead of inflicting too much damage!
It's awesome that you got to pamper yourself a bit! Sorry about all the false alarms though. Just think about it as your body is effacing and dilating your cervix already, before labour, so you'll have less to go when active labour starts.
That probably doesn't help much though, does it? Sorry.![]()

I'm going to step away from all of the pregnancy forums I am on for a little while (until I have this baby) and I refuse to post anything on my FB page related to the pregnancy because I find that all of it is stressing me out and has taken over my life. I will post as soon as I have her, or labor starts for sure or something, but until then, I'm going to de-stress myself. I wish everyone easy labors and healthy deliveries!
