Amber, hang in there!! You are in no way, shape, form or fashion a bad mother or wife. Pregnancy is hard work no matter what size a woman is. Every pregnancy is different and every woman's body structure is different, too....and we change between babies to boot! I am about 60 lbs lighter than I was with Lucas and 40 lbs lighter than I was with Will, but this pregnancy has not been easier. The only difference is that I'm able to stay active. Focus on your health and for now go easy on yourself. Your body has been through a lot the past several months and chasing after a LO while pregnant is no joke. Lindy will be here soon and don't worry about being anxious for her to come. I talk with lots of pregnant moms everyday and I have yet to meet one who doesn't want her baby to go ahead and come. Knowing that it's best for her to stay in there until she's ready doesn't change those feelings.

Thank you for the encouragement Anne! Sometimes I just feel like a complainer, but I guess it is normal at this stage in pregnancy!

I had my 38 week prenatal appt this morning. Everything is still looking good. I'm measuring at 41 weeks, but have been 3 weeks ahead the whole pregnancy. My blood pressure was 112/84, and I haven't gained any weight at all in the past month and a half. My MW keeps asking if I'm eating, lol, and the answer to that is yes, just not really very much sugar, other than what is in sweet tea. My sweet tooth is GONE. That chocolate cake I made the other night, I took a few bites and couldn't stand it. My DH and SIL are working on the rest of it, lol.

I think I'm going to go take a belly dance class tonight. I hate to drive to south Charlotte, but the instructor is awesome, and it would probably help get Lindy in the best position as possible. I did belly dance lessons before I got pregnant, and then a couple of times during this pregnancy, and I've been practicing at home, but I need a nice class to get me going again.

Oh absolutely go for the belly dancing class tonight! I know of a couple of women who swear by that for SPD. If nothing else, it's bound to do wonderful things for your head space and lift your spirits.

I forgot to post about this earlier when I updated about my appointment today.

I was speaking with my MW today about what happens when I go into labor, when to call, all that. She attends deliveries at both the birth center, and at home births in SC. I asked what happened if she had a HB client in labor at the same time with me, and I found out that the HB client takes priority because there are other MW's at the birth center that can attend me. She said she has never had that happen, but if it does, she would miss the birth. This really bothers me because at the birth center we're going to, one thing I really liked was that I got to hand pick my MW, knowing that I would have every prenatal appointment with her, and that she would be the one to attend my delivery. So, I haven't met any other MW's there! I'm going to pray that I am her ONLY client, HB or BC, in labor whenever my time comes, but I wish this would have come up earlier in the pregnancy so I could have met other MW's. I'm going to try really hard not to worry about this, since it probably won't be an issue anyway, but it still bothers me.

It probably won't be an issue, you're right!
Just to let you know though, I liked the doctor who delivered my daughter at least as much as the one who was supposed to be there.

Sorry you are just finding out about the midwife. I hope it doesn't wind up being an issue.

    Default Early Labor?

I've been awake off and on since 1am with contractions, much stronger and more uncomfortable than I've had any other night this week. They've been 10-15 minutes apart all night. My DH and I got up at dawn and went for a walk to see what would happen, and they got closer together, 2-8 minutes or so. They're not incredibly intense, but I do have a high pain tolerance and my water is still intact, plus I've been doing hypnobabies so I'm pretty relaxed. I just don't know what is going on.

Ugh, I hate that "is this labor or not?" stage... but sounds like you are definitely getting close!

Uggh...what a day this has been. We went to the chiropractor at noon, and took our bags with us because our chiro is quite a drive from our house, and so is the birth center, so we wanted to be ready just in case. I kept having contractions on the drive up there, about 5-6 minutes apart. I got an adjustment and my pelvis was a little out of alignment, as was my right hip and right round ligament. The chiro straightened everything out, and I could instantly feel Lindy shift so I was hoping it gave her what she needed to get in the BEST position. My contractions continued in the car after that. They weren't very painful, but I was comparing them to the transition contractions I had with Evan, so nothing is painful compared to that. Plus, I'm doing hypnobabies and that is helping A LOT.

After the chiropractor, we went to walk around the mall and eat some lunch. I was hoping the mall walking would spur my contractions to pick up, but instead it totally KILLED them! We walked for a couple of hours with nothing more than some irritibility in my uterus to show for it. We let Evan play in the kids area and Mike did some work on a couple of my pressure points, and that helped too...but didn't start anything back up.

So, we came home and I took a nap since the contractions kept me awake all night last night. I'm feeling rested again now, and have had a couple so we shall see.

The thing that bothers me is that DH stayed home from work today, and so far it seems to have been a waste. He had enough time to take 9 days off work, and now it's 8. His time is at a premium, and I really hate that I wasted a day for him. It REALLY bothers me and makes me really sad/upset.
