I can't believe your boss gave you a paid vacation! That's awesome!
It sounds like you have a great boss! I would love to see pics of your carseat cover....I have been wanting to make one as well.

What a great boss!! I hope you enjoy your time off before the baby comes!
Well ladies, I have been putting it off, but after having steady contractions from 11pm to 2:40am and then nothing I am going to head out to get some black cohosh and Evening primrose oil. I really didnt want to "induce" per se, but this is just getting exhausting. My OB is willing to let me go to 42wks, but I am just done.
I am to the point where I am whiny and tired of being pregnant. Sigh*
Ok, and a silly question....between my 10 minute contractions last night Elijah was really really active, is this normal? For some reason I just imagined him being pretty still, but I have no clue where I got that from...lol.
With my pre-labor contractions William was always very active but when real labor hit he was pretty calm. It's completely normal. The EPO is great! In the first week of using it it dilated me more than a cm and effaced me to 60%. I never tried the cohosh though. Good luck with everything. It sounds like you are getting close! With the EPO did you get the capsules or the oil? I used just the oil and shot extra up inside as well as doing the rubs every night after I laid down. I seriously think this had a huge part in how short my labor was. Hope it all works out for you and I feel for you with the contractions! They are the pits!

Sorry that the whiny and tired is hitting you. Its for it to not at the end. I'm so sorry the contractions didn't keep up this time.

Krista, I got the capsules. My LLL leader told me to poke a few holes with a straight pin in the capsule and then insert it as high as possible before bed. She also said that it would be good to DTD about 30 min after insertion in order to press it up against the cervix.
Another questions for you ladies, I got black cohosh capsules, but they are only 175 mg of the extract. From what I read:
What is this tincture? I took 3 capsules at 7pm, and will do the same when I wake up, at lunch time, and then dinner, but if the tincture is more effective, I would rather that.Beginning in the 38th week, one 500 mg capsule of black cohosh taken three times per day is the recommended dosage.
When your midwife or health care provider has determined it is safe to induce your labor, place 15 drops of black cohosh tincture under your tongue every hour.
