Clara Lynn was born yesterday afternoon at 4:32 p.m.

Guess my "poop" cramps were the real thing
I'll write up a big birth story later, but basically after having contractions all morning, DH and I decided to walk. They got more intense, but I could still talk and walk through them. We decided to go ahead and call the birth center before they closed just to give them a heads up. They asked if we wanted to go ahead and come in and get checked.

So at 3:00 p.m. they checked at I was at 5 cm. We left and went across the street to get something to eat. Brought it back to the birth center and the contractions then got intense. Had a few outside and then went inside because i needed the tub!

MW checked me and I was at 7 so asked I wanted her to break my water so I wouldn't have to get out of the tub once I got in (if meconium was present in water, then you can't deliver in tub there, only labor). I said yes. She broke it, it was clear.

I got up to walk the 6-7 steps to the bathtub. could not lift my leg to get in the tub because my body started pushing! MW dragged me back to the bed and by the time I laid on the bed and she looked in between my legs, baby was crowning! It was INTENSE!

I didn't want her to barrel out, so I had to hold her in while slowing letting her come out. It worked because I had no tearing!

She was 8 pounds, 2 ounces. 20.5 inches long!

My mom missed the birth. My cousin who was bringing DS missed the birth. It was soooo fast! We had a photographer there and I can't wait to see all of her photos!

We left the birth center at 8:30 last night and spent the night at home all snug in our bed. What a surreal experience!
