Just catching up.. I liked reading your story.
As for the c-section, I added a small part to the end of my birth plan stating things like: I wanted the curtain lowered for the birth, my doula present, and to hold the baby ASAP afterward. I started this section with "Should a cesarean section become medically necessary for the health of myself or my baby, I have the follow preferences:"
Glad your appt. went well and I hope you get that clearance for the BC. I guess it wouldn't hurt to put something in your BP for the hospital JIC of a c/s. Better to have things go the way you want if there is an emergency.
Thanks for sharing your TTC journey. This is such a special baby for you guys!

I think that it might be a good idea to get your preferences for the various possibilities on paper and then put them asside and focus on clearing your fears and visualizing how you want your birth to go.
welcome to your lodge thanks for sharing your story.
i agree with pp to include a section of the birth plan that "should a c-section become medically necessary I would like..." I included that DH and our doula be present, baby stay with me, or if baby needed to be taken that DH would stay with baby...I can't remember exactly what else. I kept mine short and to the point, but it is good to include in case of emergency.
I'm full term today! I don't think she is going anywhere for a while though (and I am glad - she needs to keep baking - I have too much left to do!) I am just so happy to be at this point!
I wrote down some things for a c-section. I feel a bit better about it right now. I think I want to add something about the type of incision/closure (for a future VBAC) but I have to look up what is best first. Otherwise I think I will just discuss it with my m/w at my next appointment.
Yay for 37 weeks! Glad you were able to write some things down for the c-section possiblity. Have you written down your "Ideal" birth yet? Not a birth plan, but a narrative about how wonderful your birth will be. It's an exercise a friend taught me writing down exactly how you imagine your birth to be including time of day, how you will feel etc. Very empowering IMHO.

My Ovulation Chart
I've been thinking a lot about my ideal birth, but haven't written it down. I might try that this week.
I just got back from acupuncture - and had a great nap while I was there. I swear, I sleep so well when I am full of needles.
Midwife appointment tomorrow morning - I should get my GBS results back. I am worried about them - the bc won't allow any "alternative" treatment protocols - I asked about the Hibiclens protocol at my last appointment and unfortunately they won't do it.
I'm down to 9 days of work! That is pretty exciting.
GBS negative vibes! After my experience of 5 attempts to start an IV at 8+ cm and then having to stay in the hospital for 48 hours, I really hate GBS.
