That sounds like such a fun day. I hope that you enjoy it, I would never be able to go out just DD and I this late in the pregnancy because my DD loves to RUN and I just can't keep up with her.

    Default 40w 6d: PM report

Hey everyone! Great day, still no labor.

The funny thing about the beaver DH hit was that it was HUGE and did $3000 worth of damage! The car was listed for sale at the time so now insurance is paying for the repairs and we have all these potential buyers who have to be patient. He hit it at 1am on his way to work and the car broke down (radiator) so I had to go out and get him--at 39wks. Normally the big road hazard around here is moose--collisions w/them are often fatal. And of course deer are everywhere. (And turkeys--lots of feathers when you hit those!)

Bennet--yes, we must have the same weather! We're on the western side of the foothills. As for my mat leave: I guess I started it yesterday. They knew I was on borrowed time at work once I passed my EDD, and it was up to me when I wanted to go out. Since I have appts from 10am to noon tomorrow, and I will have my membranes swept, it wouldn't make a ton of sense for me to go to work...and then why bother on Friday? I hate having left early knowing I felt well enough to work, but these past few days have been nice and soon I'll be so busy & tired...

We had such a fun day! DD & I went to the science/nature children's museum and we happened to see Cynthia (mysticdreamer) there with Mina & Bodhi! DD ran around like a crazy person for a couple of hours. I got pains when I had to chase her at times or crawl through small spaces w/lots of bending over and straightening up.

Then we met my mom for lunch at a Chinese restaurant (more spicy food.) From there DD & I walked around the downtown area a little bit and went to the Women's Health Resource Center where I take birthing/parenting/health classes, buy pump supplies, nursing bras, and attend 4th Trimester mommy/baby drop-in group. I bought 2 awesome new nursing bras half-off (discontinued style.) I've been wearing many of the same nursing bras for 2yrs and boy do I need new ones!

Next we went to a great playground and spent over 2hrs sliding, swinging, digging in the sand, and running around. When we arrived, 2 little girls started yelling, "LIDIA! LIDIA!"--friends from her PT daycare! Unexpected because the DC is in Vermont and we were 20mi away near our new house. The only low point of the day was when I had to wrestle her into the car to go home. She cried and repeated, "More playground!" all the way home (15min.) She fell asleep literally 1/8mi from our house.

So it was a fun day. I don't feel any closer to birthing this baby but it was great to be out in the sunshine with my beautiful girl.

My U/S is at 10am, NST at 11, MW at 11:40. I'm definitely asking for the stretch & sweep (hope it's more sweep than stretch!) and we'll go from there. As for vibes: I guess I need either labor vibes or at least "adequate fluid level vibes" since low amniotic fluid on the U/S is my big fear. Thanks!

Sounds like such a fun filled day, I think doing that much would kill me right now.

Good luck with the U/S and Midwife, I'll send you good fluid level vibes and some labor vibes
