How do you manage to look so beautiful and be 42 weeks pregnant? And forget yard work when I was overdue... I was lucky if I had enough energy to walk to the bathroom!

Sounds like you'll be meeting your newest little one very soon. I'll be stalking...

Still thinking of you Helina! Hopefully everything is going well and your body needs just a little push.
Beautiful pictures too, Lidia is so stinking cute!!! What a good little helper, and you look gorgeous, I'd never guess you were 42 weeks if I saw you walking down the street!
I have to admit, I'm a little jealous at how well you bake those babies, it's like your body was made to be pregnant, going to 42 weeks and still feeling and looking so great!

    Arrow mid-afternoon hospital update

    Thanks for the compliments!

I'm now up to 2cm and 80% effaced, baby is at 0 station! The ctx are definitely getting a lot harder but nothing I can't talk through.

MW offered to break my water, give it a little time, and then start pit if needed, but I declined and asked for another dose of miso instead. She said that was a reasonable choice too. I figure I'm comfortable waiting around (it's what I do best! ) so I'd rather take it slow and give things every chance to happen on their own.

I'm going to try and take a nap. Not likely but it's worth a shot. Next check is at 6:30 unless something happens sooner. I'll keep you posted!

Helina, I'm so sorry to hear about the induction, but I'm also excited to hear all about your labor and I can't wait to "meet" (well hear about and see pics) your new LO!! The pics you posted are all gorgeous! Could your dd be any cuter?!?! You also look absolutely fabulous. Your belly is PERFECT!!

Um, yeah, so are you in full makeup AND a top that required ironing in your pic from this morning??? HOLY CRAP WOMAN!! You do pregnancy fantastically! How many people have a 42-week belly picture??

That's awesome! My OB kept emphasizing that it's more about effacement than dilation in subsequent pregnancies and the fact that baby is moving down on his/her own is great! Don't let them touch you! You're doing just fine on your own!!

I have a friend coming over tonight to hang out and cook dinner for us so I'm not sure how often I'll get to check in. I'll definitely be looking around 6ish my time for your most recent check! GL and ELV to you, Helina!!

ETA: and are you wearing Born Mary Janes? Your shoes look like my pregnancy/teaching winter shoes

Oh my gosh - I am away for a day and look what happens!

Helina - I have been thinking about you so much. I am so sorry that you got so upset, but it sounds like you are much more cheerful! Keep you mind on the end goal of a beautiful healthy baby. When all this is done I will mourn with you about not going into labor on your own. It is something I can completely relate too. I hope the second dose of miso does the trick! In fact I hope you are pushing right now!

I cannot wait to hear more from you. You and your daughter are beautiful!

YAY PROGRESS!! Inductions suck, no way around it, but they suck a lot less when you're *this close* and your body is totally ready and just needs a nudge. I am looking forward to LOTS of beautiful expanded family pictures later today You've got a BIG cheering section backing you on this!
