Everyone I know who had it happen had it happen in the night or at a time when they were really relaxed.

Jordan I have never seen that episode ~ Did you see the recent "The Office" birth? I thought that that one wasn't all that bad (considering how they frequently go ). I will have to watch the Friends one.

J~ Do you think that this labor will start with SROM again? What do you picture this labor being like?

(And, do you put something on your bed? Like a waterproof sheet? My MW recommends one and I didn't do it either time previously but think that I will this time in case I end up birthing on the bed)

I did see The Office birth! Actually we chatted about it on our bb while it was on, eh Mara? lol...it really wasn't too bad. I enjoyed it! The cringe factor was low.

I'm not sure how this one will start. It's funny, cause even though V's labour started with SROM and within a half hour it really was at its peak as far as intensity, I don't think it will happen that way this time. I sure hope not, anyway! Don't get me wrong, it was an amazing birth and I wouldn't change a thing, but I'd like a little more warning before being chucked in front of the labour freight train. lol.

I was sleeping on a towel at the time under my breasts, cause I was leaking colostrum, so when my water broke, I shoved that between my legs. It worked just fine til I was able to get up and stand in the tub. I'll probably just do that this time too. Or I might lay a towel down under my rump to start. Nothing waterproof though, the noise would keep me awake.

Since that is how L's labor started I totally pictured the same thing happening the second time around, but then it didn't break till 8 cm and hours into labor. Crazy how different the experience of laboring with intact vs. ruptured membranes was.

Yeah that is a good episode for birth. Funny about the TV birth model since that is actually what I had with my first. water breaking and zero to sixty. DH just expects it like that again. It sounds like you were similar. It was a first birth, how close are your mws if this one is faster?

They are about 30-45min away. We all are instructed to call whenever I think it might be. lol, I asked if they are sure they want to make the trek out 12 times before the real deal and they are cool with that. hehehe.

75 hours until I'm cleared for a homebirth.

Yeah for almost being at hb status. I know I always breath easier after that point. And I hear you on not wanting another labor where it starts so suddenly. I really do not want that either.

Welcome to your lodge Jordan!!! I tried to respond the other day, but my laptop shutdown. It needs to be replaced, but that's another story.

Speaking of TV birth.... the channel TLC is having a home water birth soon. I don't ever watch the show "baby story", but I'm recording this one. It airs on Wed. the 27th I believe.
