Due to stupid laws in Ontario, our midwifery clinic was given funds to purchase a birth tub, but then discovered that they weren't allowed to use it with clients. So, my midwife used it for the birth of her son and then it sat in her closet for 3 years. Being family friends with her, she figured she'd just give it to me. She's not planning anymore kids and it will get good use (hopefully) between my sisters, friends and I.

I wish you could be here too!!! I'll skype you through!
wow, how exciting. I am slightly confused by the whole have money to buy a tub, but you can't actually use it thing. That seems like a stupid rule to me. LOL

Thanks everyone! Doing well...lots of regular BH's but only a bit more regular than usual which is still kinda often. I feel good though.

We confirmed today to allow our birth to be sound recorded for a documentary by The David Suzuki Foundation to air this summer. I spoke with the producer today and it would either be someone who is already here just hitting 'record' on the equipment that she drops off early, or she will come out (if there is time) and do it herself. So barely interfering at all. DH and I agreed that we can get on board with that. I'm pretty excited. She asked all sorts of questions too about why I am drawn to water birth and what it does for me. It helps that I have already done it once. She's going to interview DH at a later time for his perspective too.

As far as Violet in the tub yet...lol. For being a waterbaby herself, she hates bathing, swimming and anything that has to do with it. So, she doesn't go near the tub. haha, what a weirdo.

Aww, thanks! I feel mostly okay. I have costochondritis, which affects my ribs pretty badly, but other than that I'm great! The costo is constant pain though and limits my movements and positions. Nothing aside from lying on my left side is comfortable. Not sitting, standing, nothing. If I didn't have that, I'd be GOLD!

I can't even begin to say how excited I am for the birth. I am just busting to use that tub and to go through all the sensations of birth again to bring my baby out. Seriously so excited.

Jordan, I am so excited for you- I already miss my belly, and while my birth went really well, I'm sad that it's over, and I don't have to do it anymore- at least not until the next one. I just know your birth is going to be amazing, so I can't wait for it!

It's getting so close, it's so exciting Jordan! I can't wait to hear all about it, you're going to do great! Getting prepared is such an exciting time, and it's such a great time of year for these kinds of changes
