Your story sounds somewhat like mine, but the nurses were better. I am so sorry. It makes me so angry to hear that that kind of thing happens to women. Thanks for sharing!

Welcome to your lodge! I can't wait to follow your lodge from start to finish!!

I loved you story about meeting DH and the proposal! Boys are so funny, getting super nervous about proposals they know the answer to. And your wedding sounds like a fairytale!

Your first birth experience sounds like the opposite. I'm so glad you are so calm and confident this time and have a midwife you trust. Labor and birth and can be SO COOL that it is a shame when the experience gets all mucked up.

Also, you might be my new hero. Continuing to persevere and nurse for 6 months after DS tongue tie was missed and took so long to fix? You are awesome.

It is so great that you get to stay home now! How are you liking homeschooling? I don't plan on homeschooling but I have an awful lot of bookmarks saved about it. I bet teaching a kindergartener one-on-one is super fun. Such a neat time of exploration and discovery.

Oh my gosh and I am finally caught up to today!!!!! Woot for strong waves!!! I had daily waves with DS from 31 weeks on and I looked at it as, the more work I do know the less I have to do on D-Day! Hope your body is getting nice and strong for the big event! When is your next MW appt.?

Time does change us doesn't it! I was a varsity cheerleader!

I'm sorry your first birth went down the way it did. But you persevered! You're so much better prepared this time around. Your HBAC is going to be amazing!

I wish I could home school! Are you currently running the daycare? How will things work when little brother comes?

Melissa--So far I am loving homeschooling! Its a lot of work but I'm glad that I'm doing it for him. Next MW appt. is on Tuesday and its our home visit. Yay!

Erin--I am running the daycare/preschool right now by myself and am in the process of getting paperwork done to hire my helper. She can start in the next 2 weeks if all goes well. When LO comes we will be closed for a week and then open right back up with me full time and my helper there part time. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it works out well. I plan on wearing him around so that will be easy those first few months and all my kids are ages 2-5 so a little less needy than all toddlers. Again crossing my fingers and toes that I didn't bite off more than I can chew!

Got a nice little 1 hr. nap in while the kids are napping. That felt so good! Tonight is farmers market and then sushi for dinner followed by me going to be extra early. Yay!

It's so great when you can find ways to work and be a mom at the same time! It might be a little nuts right at first, but you should be fine in the long run.

    Enjoy your restful evening!

Its the first day of Autumn! My favorite! Ryland and I made laterns last week for tonight and we are making some special corn muffins with the kids today.

Slept an awesome 9 hours last night (minus the pee breaks) and feel amazing today! Also ate my weight in sushi last night and didn't have m/s which is rare so I feel like a new woman.

My 36 week belly. I've been so much better at taking pics this time but too bad you can't see my face in any of them. I'd love an SLR that has a viewing screen!

I've got so much pressure from his head down there tonight its killing me. I know its a good thing but why does it have to turn so much? I was looking at my belly in the mirror tonight and notice that he is pushing his bum out on one side really far because I am so lopsided...lol...its pretty funny.

DH works at 4am tomorrow morning, ick. I've gotta play soccer mom tomorrow morning with DS. LOL, I'm sure it will be a site having my big belly chasing a ball around the field with my 5 year old.

That is one of the worst hospital experiences I have seen in a long time, wow! All the hospitals I am familiar with in San Diego (mostly north county) are great, including maternity care.

A little education definitely goes a long way, and there is NO way you'll be put. In a misinformed situation again, with what you know now. We can't change the past, but your outcomes are already likely to be better just by the few precautionary steps with care providers and such that you have already put in place.
