Great birth story Melissa! As others have already said you did an amazing job and your reward is beautiful!
I also second the swaddling for getting the baby to nap elsewhere every once in a while. I also use to swaddle our dtr in one of daddys t-shirts when he wasn't home so she could still smell him. It worked like a charm!

thanks for all the kind words and support, they mean a lot to me!!! we are all doing well so far, but my poor body feels like it's been beat up! i ache ALL OVER and my stiches are really hurting. i ended with a second degree tear downwards and that is not too bad, but i also tore up into my right labia and that still really hurts....

I hope your pain goes away soon, I know my stiches where the very hardest part of my first delivery but they did get better around 2 weeks post-pardum.
